Seriously!!!!!! Who schedules a play during "Basketball Thirty" time?LOL

Lafon needs to get with the drama coach next time and make sure they schedule a play for April. I'm sure the OHSAA was "happy" with the crowd that I-town brought compared to what they brought in the past.

The last time the Burg and Ironton played there in the regional final in 2006, it was cool because it was a sea of Orange and Black in the whole place.

This time, Burg fans should wear all orange and I-town all black

Huge difference in reg. season and tourney play like i already mentioned....burg boys will be there to play this time, and give the tigers one heck of a game...Don't expect the same results as 4 weeks ago...

I think it will be a good game this time around also.

A huge difference? Maybe a little difference, you still play hard and Coach hard the entire game.

Seems like alot of people think Ironton forgot how to play Basketball all of a sudden, and that Coach Lafon forgot how to Coach. I think Coach Lafon has been here before and the Tigers have won their first 2 Playoff games just like the Burg has.

Is Morton injured or just not part of the lineup anymore? He didn't get into the game until the middle of the 3rd quarter against Meigs and he was not playing nearly to the level he played when Burg visited Ironton. Carter is definitely a tough matchup for any guard in SEO.
Getting down to crunch time, I think Morton starts in this game after His performance against Wheelersburg in the last game.

Ironton will be ready!

As for the fans....Ironton high has been doing a play for 30+ years. It is always this time of year. It just so happened that it fell this way this year. Please don't take anything away from our school spirit because some can't be there. The play is a very big production and a huge part of the student body is involved plus faculty and parents. Our boys know this and understand. They know their fans are behind them and rooting for them.

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!

Its Ironton's game to win or lose. Wheelersburg has no answer for Carter. Don't feel bad, you are not the first nor the last.

Sounds like this one is a no-brainer. Since Ironton is lacking in fans, discipline, maturity, tournament savvy, and coaching ability to match the genius of Tom Barrick, maybe the SEODAB oughta just wave Wheelersburg on through to the Regionals and save everyone the trouble. The Pirates looked unbeatable against Peebles, the senior Stegman is at the top of his game, and Ironton hasn't been able to match its level of play since the last Burg encounter nearly 4 weeks ago. The Tiger's uninspired defensive and rebounding effort against a gutty Meigs bunch gave Ironton the look of a team ripe for an early spring break away from the Convo. At least that seems to be the consensus opinion on here except for a few stubborn Ironton holdouts. So congrats to Wheelersburg!

.......Burg coming into this game with a vengance...off of two insane OT preformances the past couple weeks, peaking at the perfect time, fan factor, tourney experience factor, big game/clutch factor...they're going to be out for blood this game...takes five players to win a ballgame, not one...if the Burg team of the past two games shows up, tigers are going to have a heck of a ballgame on their hands...

Why go to OT when you can get the job done in regulation.

I got to check out the game a few weeks ago and Barrick called a set everytime burg came down the court, and with all the times burg and the tigers have played he can't show anything the tigers haven't seen already. I predict a close game to start and turn into a blow out. Tigers by 15+

See Burg still "glorifying" the W against Peebles. For that reason, predict a slow start from Burg with Ironton capitalizing on it. IMO

I don't see Coach Barrick letting this happen. Both Coaches know how to win at the Convo and this game should be a good one!

GO PIRATES!!

Sure, the fans might still be talking about on here, but you can bet that the Burg was focused on Ironton on the bus ride on the way home. You can bet that the loss at Ironton is still on the Burg's mind and they are well aware of how quick Ironton can score and how fast the game can get away from them. On the other hand, If Ironton goes into this game thinking that just because they blew the Burg out in the regular season that they will do it again, just might be in foir a rude awakening. If it happens, wouldn't be the first time that the Burg has been blown out at the Convo.

Like was said above, both of these teams know what it takes to win at the convo. They both realize that it is one and done. If anyone happened to check out the program, Burg has the best record all-time at the Convo of any team at the Convo this year. THey know what it takes to win and they fully expect to win everytime they step onto a court or a field. I'm sure Irnton has the same mentality and that usually makes for a great game, especially between these two.

Good luck Pirates.

I can absolutely see this happening...

The boys have moved past last week, and are completely focused on showing up and giving ironton one heck of a battle this week...neither Barrick, nor the kids themselves are "glorifying" the win against peebles...
