As coach hill has done the whole summer league he plays his starters 5 mins then subs freely at times having 4-5 freshmen on the floor, with 3 varsity players missining they played ok SG has 0 depth so the starters play the whole game. That could be a big problem this season and rv is a lot quicker and taller. Hard to watch 1 game with 3 floors goingRebels on 3 wrote:So how did the SG and RV game go down?

As far as starters i was impressed with sg they seemed to foul a bit much but they looked like they have played together for years. they arent deep.big blue c wrote:As coach hill has done the whole summer league he plays his starters 5 mins then subs freely at times having 4-5 freshmen on the floor, with 3 varsity players missining they played ok SG has 0 depth so the starters play the whole game. I've seen both teams play this summer up @ Jackson. River Valley does have quicker and taller athletes, but South Gallia has better "basketball" players IMO. Depth could be a problem for them but I would definitely take SG's starting 5 over RV's.
The Southern RV game was very close the SG vs Southern game wasn't. Hill rotated his 12 players a lot of Freshmen and Sophs and stayed competitive. I watched the game with the Jackson Principal and X Tornado we were impressed with both teams both are very athletic!John Wooden wrote:Blue Southern beat RV and SG so they didn't get handled by either of these teams.

Just to clarify RV went 0-10 and lost every game by double digits. The first game I watched they lost 40-15. Scoring 15 points in 40 minutes of basketball is completely unacceptable even if it is using a running clock. Both of the starting guards were very turnover prone but in their defense that is somewhat a product of the offense they run IMHO.

The program is no farther down than eastern is,Hill is not looking to leave, or maybe you have proof of that from some source?Chained Eagle wrote:^^^What are you talking about?
3-44. Wowza.
It's no wonder Hill is looking to leave.
I don't ever remember that program being that far down.
