River/Caldwell game @ River was a dandy tonight. Caldwell played really well tonight. Led 31-28 at the half and game was back and forth. River came out firing in the third, took a 40-33 lead but Caldwell ran off seven straight to knot it at 40 entering the fourth quarter. River again surged ahead 49-43 but Caldwell again tied it up at 49 with a few minutes remaining. River was up 51-50 with about thirty seconds to go, Figel picks the Isley kid at half court, scramble for the ball and he hits Baker for a streaking lay up that would have put Caldwell ahead but the official behind the play came in and called over and back on the play. Horrible call, River hits a few free throws, Caldwell gets a good look at a Figel three from the wing that went down and out with about 5 seconds to go. Baker gets called for an intentional foul on the rebound, one made free throw ended it. What a game to watch. believe Caldwell had 5 of their 6 score right around double figures, very balanced. Price went off for about 30 I'd say. Hit a slew of threes tonight. They run him off so many illegal moving picks it's unreal. How about playing in a dust covered gym with no heat or locker rooms? Caldwell looked really good tonight, hate to say it but losing the Carpenter kid was a blessing in disguise.

The game is postponed because Magnolia wanted to do so....So given the chance, do what benefits your team. It was a very smart move by Coach Tolzda and AD Winland if you really believe thats why it was done.
