Coaches get to pick their own all-conference players. 1st place in the league gets I think 4 all-conference members, 2nd place gets 3, etc....
River had 3 all-conference last year (Price, Indermuhle, and Caldwell) because they finished 2nd.
Just like GhostOfHomer has said, There is not a 1st and 2nd team in the PVC. Just All Conference Team
Not sure why everyone trys to do it that way...why not just pick the top 15 conference players.
Of course then, people would still argue that someone should be on the list anyway...so it really doesn't matter
LOLing at Justin Figel over Seth Legrean ! Obviously it is his father talking or someone in the family haha. Seth is good, probably not 1st team worthy though, probably 2nd team! Jeffferson should be on second team also. He works hard and it's not exactly his fault his team isn't up to par; I think he makes his teammates better.
If you had the pick of every player in the P.V.C. you would likely pick the following, IMO:
1. Shon Smith (leagues best player)
2. Brett Price (not far behind Smith)
3. Jonathon Wiechman (Next years player of the year, has really been lighting it up lately since his teammates started stepping up)
4. Korey Laffre (Let his team down with the suspension but man what an athlete)
5. Seth Lagrean (Nobody plays harder, leagues best sophomore)
6. Zack Roe (can't stand watching him but he gets it done)
7. Cody Caldwell (what a shooter)
8. Jordan Indermuhle (Leagues strongest player)
9. CJ Bever (solid, solid point guard)
10. Chandler Lang (leagues best defender, can score when needed, very underrated)
11. Josh Toland (second best post in the league)
12. Danny Nuehart (gets a lot out of a little)
13. Josh Guiler (plays hard, gives Central toughness)
14. Tyler Starr (Deep threat, not much else)
15. Jordan Jefferson (good defender)
16. Lane Starr (Same as Jefferson)
17. Tanner Harding (shooter)
18. Tanner Clark (Best freshman in the league)
19. Cam Jorris (reminds me of Roe)
20. Drew Schneider (solid guard for Frontier)
*These are the order I'd rank them in. I purposely left out Hurst, if you let your team down like that you don't deserve to be on the list in my honest opinion.
Would of loved to see Jefferson in a better system. He does dirty work sets picks plays defense and runs the floor also like Lang can guard 1-5 My list of top defenders- Lang FF, Cam Brown River, Intermule River, Jefferson Fron, Lafferie MC
Matt Marconi of River is better than half of the lists I've seen on here. Understand he is shadowed by Price and Caldwell. But in the big games they have won ie. Magnolia and Trail at home if it not for Marconi there is at least 2 more losses. Thats what makes a good team tough. Someone else steps up.
I think Redskin witness top 20 is agreeable but i don't under stand how Daniel Leasure from Caldwell isn't up there. He plays tuff defensive and gets alot of boards.
If we're talkin defense I can think of 3 that come to my mind
1. Chan Lang FF- he has always been a defensive stud
2. Levi Reed SHS - he may not start but he is very tough and play good d
3. Tanner Clark CHS - Kid is only a freshman he plays solid d and can score
