DII: 18-4 Vinton County vs. 17-6 Fairland ..3/1
Re: DII: 18-4 Vinton County vs. 17-6 Fairland ..3/1
Grit, will to win, never giving up. That pretty much sums up the Vikings tonight. I'm proud of the way they fought back and turned up the defensive pressure in the second half. But if the Vikes plan on cutting nets next Thursday night, they MUST play more aggressive on defense and RUN YOUR SETS!! Ill get more into that on the upcoming VC/Warren thread...but overall, you have to be pleased with a win. Pleased with the amount of heart and determination these young men showed tonight. Enjoy it tonight, and focus on Warren tomorrow morning!! I was also impressed with the Viking faithful...great turnout by the fans! Fairland played a great first half and has alot to be proud of! 17 wins!! Great season Dragons!!
Oakhead...what are your thoughts on the halftime adjustments by both coaches? Lol maybe you should have the mods change your name to nuthead!

All 4 games the last two nights were either tied or a one point difference in the 4th qtr. This was the tighest and back and forth of them all, 4th qtr:
VC 46 48 49 49 51 51 55 55 55 57 60 62 64 64 65
Fd 47 47 47 49 49 52 52 54 56 58 58 58 58 61 61
Freshman Jordon Albright came up big in the last 2 minutes with a 3 pt play at 1:21 left to put VC up 60-58, and then hit both ends of the one and one with 44 sec left to go up 62-58. His level on concentration on FTs is matched by very few.
