Ditto for football season Wobycat. I seen your post when Minford played Burg. I am enjoying the season and making an observed opinion.wobycat wrote:Basketball is a cyclical sport. Valley last couple of years. Minford this year maybe next but then it will be burgs turn because of what they have coming up. Burg does not have height, but they will compete eventually. Look at their run last year. How about just enjoying minfords good team instead of burg bashing. Typical falcon fan.marshallman wrote:burg has no height and no depth this year. Not many shooters to worry about. They will be lucky to break even this year. Not much talk on hear like football season? Minford should be hands down the favorite to win the SOC 2 with Valley second, West 3rd, Waverly 4th Burg 5th.

Minford was the best team there followed up by peebles with chilli being 3rd (playing without their leading scorer and another starter) then Portsmouth,ND,Burg,SG!!! JMO, Minford should fair well this year, they have a great overall staff and they play well together on both ends. peebles should make a nice run as well!!! Portsmouth doesn't play good team D & they aren't in great condition from what I witnessed but they have a bunch of talent. can't wait to see how it all plays out!!

Congratulations to the Chillicothe Cavaliers on the win over the Trojans 66-54. It was clearly evident that PHS missed Sky Oliver, but CHS was without Tommy Bolte. Kyre Allison scored 33 for the Trojans, his career high.

Oliver was on the bench with ice on his knee, but did not dress.

I respect your differing opinion, and it may just be that I am a homer for my alma mater, but I think Peebles would beat Minford 6 or 7 times out of 10. Gullion and Rowe are both pretty good players and their little post player made the bigger Watterson team look bad with his hustle and array of post moves but I would take the Indians over almost anyone in our district this season. With that being said the Falcons are probably the best D3 team in the district with what I've seen watching them a couple times, definitely with Portsmouth being without Oliver. Notre Dame impressed me tonight considering how young that team is. They could be a force in D4 the next 2 years. Their sophomores have some potential to be very good before its all said and done. South Gallia was a little dissapointing tonight minus Greer. I expected them to pull out a convincing win against an inexperienced ND given the team I watched all throughout the tournament last year is largely intact. Could be a longer bus ride had them off their A game.buckeyes911 wrote:Minford was the best team there followed up by peebles with chilli being 3rd (playing without their leading scorer and another starter) then Portsmouth,ND,Burg,SG!!! That's funny Marshall man, you had no other based opinion for any other team on a random topic. At least my opinion, was on the right topic. Football does not turnover as fast as basketball
