If the draw was today what’s everyone’s opinion on who the matchups might be ?

2. Unioto
3. Gallia
4. Waverly
5. ZT
6. Jackson
7. MT
8. Boro
9. Washington
10. McClain
So McLain vs MT and winner faces Unioto
Hillsboro vs Washington and winner faces Fairland
Gallia vs Jackson
Waverly vs ZT
Re: Division 2 Southeastern Sectional
Tough sectional.
Fairland and Unioto clear top 2.
Waverly, Gallia and ZT will be fighting for the 3.
They don’t want to be 4 or 5. Rather be 6 than 4 or 5.

Votes are due at 11:59:59pm on 2/9. So, any game that is played on that Saturday doesn't matter. If I were to guess, I'd say that most coaches will submit their votes before they even play on that Friday, just in case something strange happens with the internet in their area.
The results will be posted at like 3:30 on Sunday 2/11.
Re: Division 2 Southeastern Sectional
I think since coaches don’t have to travel to Jackson and back for a meeting they could in turn log on to the inter webs Friday the 9th after scores are all in for their sections. In rare occurrence their internet isn’t working they could call in their seedings to district representative but then later on affirm that on his en as to not just be lazy and put it on rep.danicalifornia wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2018 6:13 pmVotes are due at 11:59:59pm on 2/9. Re: Division 2 Southeastern Sectional
I totally agree, I just don't understand why they don't have until Saturday at noon (if it has to wait that long even) so that they can still look at all scores for up until that time. It would give the SEODAB 27 hours to score the results, which realistically, is about 26 more hours than they really need.Ironman92 wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2018 7:12 pmI think since coaches don’t have to travel to Jackson and back for a meeting they could in turn log on to the inter webs Friday the 9th after scores are all in for their sections. Fixed. I'm blaming the HCPress, even if it's not where I got it from.whsball wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2018 9:55 pmWashington is 2-8danicalifornia wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2018 3:18 am Updated through 1/21

Waverly destroyed Hillsboro
Washington best Logan Elm
Jackson handled South Webster
Gallia handled Rock Hill
Fairland smoked Ironton
Zane Trace took one on the chin from Western Pike...not a good loss. Drops them to the #6 IMO

Hillsboro 6-10

I think these are all very close to their records but definitely not exact for all. Top to bottom capable of being dangerous. McClain just played Chillicothe tighter than any other FAC team and was down 3 with a minute left. Washington has athletes and seems to play most team close but cannot get over hump...they play a very good zone. Hillsboro is going the wrong way. They play good defense but have trouble scoring against a good defense but they are missing a player and another with injury so they may be back for tournament. Trace started 0-4 but have been very good since other than Chillicothe blowout. They have a 6’6 guard that is a killer matchup. ZT has the size and athletes but has struggled a bit of late, still young. Jackson rolling along pretty good and no bad losses having only lost to @Unioto, @Gallia, @VC (should’ve won), Chillicothe and MT...but are playing without their top scorer and rebounder for maybe a week or two with ankle injury. Waverly building steam and having very good season, Gallia getting better and better with their 7’0 sophomore, Unioto is incredibly talented and athletic and Fairland is outstanding.
I’d put Unioto over Gallia...I think Gallia would struggle with the U

Re: Division 2 Southeastern Sectional
Thanks for the update. Question now is does unioto try to get the 1 seed over Fairland (assuming they both win out until the draw.) Fairland deserves the 1 but you never know what will happen. It will be Interesting.
Re: Division 2 Southeastern Sectional
Well they probably will but Gallia will maybe be doing the same with just 1 loss. Unioto will likely have some that would vote them 1 if they wanted a certain seeding as well IMO no one in the sectional can beat Fairland and no one else can beat Unioto....so to me coaches will be doing some major jockeying for sure. The FAC coaches have the affiliation but also a new league and maybe not too tight.ovcfan12 wrote: Sun Jan 28, 2018 10:29 am Thanks for the update. If Fairland is #2 that messes up the jockeying in the other sectional as well. Fairland needs to be the 1 and for advancement deep into the tourney....it helps this sectional to know where Fairland is as they are THE team to avoid. Gallia for example may go 20-2 and be locked into that 3 seed....that 3 seed runs into Fairland in the district finals....the 2,4,5 seeds do not hit Fairland before the regionals.
Fairland’s losses have been out of district and state. For example when they played 13-1 Gallia...they led them 37-12 I believe after the first quarter. Whole another level for sure. Unioto I believe would beat Gallia by double digits. Unioto vs Fairland would be fun but believe Fairland wins by double digits.

Zane Trace 11-4
I think the rest were correct though.
The seeding in this sectional will be mighty interesting. Still think Fairland is the 1 seed until they lose to a team from the SE District though.
