Re: Scrimmages:
Pretty even scrimmage. Lower scoring defensive basketball. RH is a decent team. They play hard.OVCFan1 wrote: Mon Nov 15, 2021 10:01 pmAny word on the West at Rock Hill scrimmage? How’d each team look?Westfan wrote: Sun Nov 14, 2021 9:55 pm West scrimmaged at Wellston who is projected to be pretty good
1st quartet was 18-18
2nd quarter West won convincingly
West won the rest of the quarters
Wellston had a good player sprain his ankle
Wellston has a couple guys that shoot well. But West was more athletic and way deeper.
West really didn’t play well. Probably good for them to face a team that plays aggressive and physical.

Dickie Martin, voice of the tomcats, said on air last week the tomcats are loaded and have a state champion caliber team.MrFirstTake wrote: Sun Nov 14, 2021 2:33 pm I know it’s Kentucky but I watched Ashland vs a Huntington Prep and Ashland is very impressive they won 99-82 and never trailed after a run early on

Ashland has that porter kid and he’s a absolute stud. I believe they were undefeated last year or year before, something like 33-0 before covid messed it up.packers80 wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 3:20 pmDickie Martin, voice of the tomcats, said on air last week the tomcats are loaded and have a state champion caliber team.MrFirstTake wrote: Sun Nov 14, 2021 2:33 pm I know it’s Kentucky but I watched Ashland vs a Huntington Prep and Ashland is very impressive they won 99-82 and never trailed after a run early on

Re: Scrimmages:
Minford with a nice showing at Zane trace tonight. Beat Zane trace in 3 out of 4 quarters and won the first 12-minute quarter 32-11. Great mix of young and old on the court. JV falcons also show a lot of promise. Zane Trace has a ton of athletes and size. Both teams should have good years. Great scrimmage with both team really competing.
Re: Scrimmages:
West looked good in their scrimmage against Gallipolis tonight. West won most of the quarters including the first one handily. Really impressed how well West defended Clary and Loveday

Re: Scrimmages:
Not surprised. It isn’t like adding one player to a team that was well under .500 last year was going to make them unbeatable. Zane Trace will win the SVC, but that’s the extent for them this seasonJJMD24 wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 8:29 amMinford looked great and I was expecting more from Zane Trace.tonylip wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 8:48 pm Minford with a nice showing at Zane trace tonight. Zt’s best player didn’t play in that scrimmage. This Zane Trace team will play for a district championship you heard it here.HamPorter wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 1:03 pmNot surprised. I hope you’re right. It would be good for the SVC and if there is a coach who can get them there, it is Coach KSvcguru wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 8:39 pmZt’s best player didn’t play in that scrimmage. Got to see the Waverly Tigers at Paint Valley tonight.
Waverly started out with TR, WaF, WiF, MS & HK and jumped out to a 14-3 lead. PM and BR in at the 4:26 and Tigers built on that lead to 24-6. Waverly took the first 27-12
Alt of subbing in the 2nd - Waverly took it 22-15
Same for the 3rd - Waverly took it 18-8
They played another 2 quarters I believe with Waverly winning them as well.
Starting 5 of Trey Robertson, Mark Stulley, Will Futhey, Wade Futhey & Hudson Kelly are excellent with Penn Morrison, Braylon Robertson and Drake Teeters coming in off the bench.
Tiger defense is relentless applying constant pressure and the transition offense is fast.
