Tonight's boys varsity basketball game against Northwest has been postponed and will be played on Tuesday, February 18. Senior night festivities have been rescheduled for this Saturday's home game against Minford.

Some schools short 2 or 3 regular season games. Not all weather. Some schools just decide they’re not coming and others had illness issues (while they hosted other school events same day). Can be frustrating.

This has to be the weakest snow out in years

I understand administrators not wanting to be liable for potential accidents but this is borderline ridiculous. Schools have become much too quick to cancel school for the day and/or extra curriculars. Once these kids graduate and get into the workforce, there aren't any more "snow days". You're butt is expected to be at work (unless it's level 3 of course) regardless. So canceling school merely based on an ominous forecast is somewhat causing these future generations of workers to be ill-prepared for the "real world" after graduation. One would also think that if a game has been canceled, the school would want to do everything it possibly can to reschedule it just to get the revenue from paying fans or customers if you will. This is a long winded rant of me being absolutely baffled that so many games have been canceled tonight when the weather really hasn't been that bad at all.
