Vinton Co Vikings @ Belpre Eagles (Fri. Night)

We must not have paid those refs enough money tonight it looked like we were in McArthur not Belpre,especially in the JV game. I thought the Belpre kids played hard and hung in with a good VC team tonight.

This reads like a "papaw" complaining about the refs! I hate to say it but HaterAid is right.
This was a great game, just like I knew it would be, Belpre wanted this win BAD, and it showed, they played good ball. But, the Vikes wanted it more! They sacrafised TOOTH and NOSE to get this win! Both teams played great ball tonight, two very evenly matched teams, but you can't triangle Guthrie in and leave the likes of Stewart, Eberts and Jake Prater (who had a great game tonight! even if he is a little lite in the tooth department ) out in the open, it will BITE you on the butt!
I was impressed with Sims, he is a very smooth player, a big asset to the Belpre team. Tate played well, but sat the entire 4th quarter, what's up with that?
Good effort by both teams, good win Vikes!

A lot of Belpre fans would like to know the answer to that question and also why were 3 starters pulled at the end of the 3rd quarter when they were making a run at VC.

Good game by both teams. Vinton County is a very experienced team and appears to be on track for what looks like another undefeated season. Here is a link to a newspaper writeup for those who might be interested in reading it.

VC Will not win this in the first quarter like they have been
They need to just keep in the game and not let belpre get on a big run
Maybe Get Up A Couple baskets after 2
and win it in the fourth quarter
I Just cant see them ending the game in the first or second quarter
this will also be the first real test they have

And then they will have to turn around and play huntington the next nite

Zane Trace would beat Belpre by 10 +, and VC handled them nicely. So to say this is best team VC has faced is just false!!!

Belpre brass should not have paid those refs at all! They let 'em play to speak.
Great game Jake, Drew, & Dut. Some great assists by Vikes in this game, but none better than Dut going out dish back to Jake; sweeeeet!
Belpre did play hard, but was running on empty towards end of the game.
The big kid was standing with his mouth gaping, suckiing air. Vikes seemed like they could play a couple more qtrs.

freshman was 40-37 Eagles I know Vikes lost by 3.
JV Vikes won by dbl digits, not sure of score.
