think of the money the sponsors would be giving to try and be the "official sponsor of everything Jay Kline".

I bet they re-name the city within the next 5 years to Klinesville

Sorry, you have VC confused with Wellston. ;-)

Huh? I can't think of anyone playing baseball at Federal Hocking that wasn't from the school system. I think I would know on this one.

I have never heard anything about Athens either. This must have been well before my time.

Anyway, Jay Kline has been good this year. His team plays hard for him, and they seem to enjoy playing under him. That's step number one. Anything else is all icing on the cake, IMO. This is high school, and playing hard and having fun are the most important factors. Plus, I can't really judge him on the X's and O's. I don't know much about basketball strategy. :-D

Why did you list Belpre then?

If Jay Kline is God's gift to basketball then someone please tell me this:

During the beat down VC was handing Nelsonville at VC, why didn't he simply take the air out of the ball and lose by 30 instead of 50+? He should've known that VC is much more athletic and more skilled and for every attempted NY fast break, he was essentially quadrupling VC's shot attempts. He should have tried to keep the game in 60's or 70's by having 30+ second- possesions.

Just a thought.

Serious question Capt Jack. VC had a longer haired kid last year. Did he transfer to Wellston? Not stirring trouble. I saw a Wellston game and he looked familiar. Help me out?

There's probably a lot of high schoolers, parents and fans (me for one), that would disagree with no one caring about soccer and volleyball. I've never had the chance to see a highschool soccer game but I love to watch volleyball games. They're pretty exciting
