What a joke I guess politics win out. Maybe they looked at how great these teams have done in the tournament the last couple of years since they are powerhouses,oh wait they havent done anything.Oh well VC will take the 2 seed and make the tvc proud.

Until VC plays some quality D2 or D1 programs they will always have the question of are they good or not because they play in a D3 and D4 league.

Yes, it's not because of the 2 hour bus trips. It's already so much fun going to Belpre, it would be great to add two more trips that are even longer. Anyway, I doubt Vinton County gets to make the decision of who gets in and who doesn't. Just because VC rules the TVC on the court doesn't mean they get to rule the TVC everywhere else.

VC has blocked Warren from coming back on the lastest votes about that. Either they are still pissed about something that happened 25 yrs ago or they are afraid of not being the big dog. Unless you go and entirely different way than I do it is not 2hrs to Warren. Heck from Warren it is only 1.5 hrs to Chilli because I drive it alot.

Great post, Ironman92. IMO, Jackson is, by far , the most improved team in SE Ohio. I will be rooting for VC, but I could see Jackson spoiling Mariettas and VCs chances of moving on in tournament. I agree, Ive seen VC play and Marietta play. Am far more impressed with VC. But I guess VC is just an OK team in an inferior league. That is until the teams, that talk that crap, win over VC. Then all of a sudden VC is a great victory.

VC would be the 1 seed if they would have taken care of buisness at home!! They will have to take the 2 seed and fight it out!! Good win for the Tigers!!

We have got to start hitting foul shots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vinton County has to love the 2 seed. They avoid Waverly or McClain which I think is better than Hillsboro or Court House. If I was VC I would quit complaining and make a little tourney run. But I say little because Logan Elm cruises to the Regionals!!!!

Vinton County hasn't blocked anything. And besides why would Warren want to leave the Great and All Mighty SEOAL for the lowly likes of the TVC? That seems to be hypocritical to me. And for your information

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Mc+Arth ... .&2z=45784

The same distance to Belpre and Marietta is even further. The point is why?

VC has blocked and has been the biggest road block to Warren returning.
Either talk to your AD/Principle maybe they will tell you how the vote either informal or formal but facts are facts. You can ask around and even the Warren AD says VC will never let it happen, as Warren has tried.

I have found Mapquest to not be very acurate as to the estimated time. I can get from Warren to Chilli in 1.5 hours going thru McAuthur. 65 miles is not two hours when all but 14 miles is on four lane highway. Heck it is only 1.5 hours on bus to Jackson from Warren, 1 hr 15 min to Logan.

OK Falcon, for the sake of argument, what are your facts( the proof) that VC has blocked Warren from entering the TVC.... although, according to many on here, the only reason Warren would want to come to the TVC is for a bunch of easy wins. Just because the AD says so dont make it true. Maybe he was misinformed. But, if you want to go by what youve heard, I know that Coach Combs has tried every year to scedule tougher teams for VC to play in the regular season. But I dont see you believeing that either.

I'am sick of you people from chillicothe that have such short memories when you played Div-1 (which you should be now) and could not compete all we heard is how everybody is bigger now that you can compete all you want to do is beat your chest V.C. is half your size but will never back down and will play hard as they can and willl do it with homegrown players.

Let's just throw all the school's names in a hat and randomly draw for seeds. That way schools could spend the regular season focusing on winning their respective league titles and not worry about being criticized for "soft" non-league schedules.
Just kidding of course but it might be interesting to watch a couple of 5 win teams playing for the right to go to the Convo !

Since win/loss record vs. strength of scedule both seem to be legit arguements, why dont those that vote wait until the end of regular season, giving teams about a week to two weeks to get ready, regain some health, and prepare themselves for tournament play?

Flash-G the state sets the size of the school by student numbers. It's hard to say they should be Div I.

Well since I'm not in the meetings where it is decided I go by what the Athens AD told me, the Warren AD told me, the Belpre AD told me, guess they were all mis-informed or all lied to me and others.

Wow, on numerous occasions Warrens AD has publicly admitted that something has to be done about the league to limit travel costs. Therefore, he has also stated a desire to create a big school division of the TVC with Marietta and Vinton County among others to limit travel costs and also to bring in better ticket sales at home. The folks from Ironton and Portsmouth havent traveled to Vincent very well. Why would people from Warren lie about this?

In the perfect scenario Warren and Marietta will stick together and join the MVL after the demise of the SEOAL North division. However, it's not hard to understand that people from Maysville, John Glen ext. don't want to increase the distance they have to travel either.

Vinton County is in the same boat that Logan is.
Being the only school in the country- making it hard for a lot of talented students not being able to get to practice,so they do not play sports.

Then they stick them with schools that have the large student body near by.

Vinton County isn't exactly close to Marietta and Warren. Those trips would take VC at least an hour and a half by bus. That's 3 hours on a bus round trip. Why would VC do that when Wellston, Alexander and Athens are all much closer. Maybe Jackson could get into the TVC. That would be a great fit, too.
