The point is good but the constant beaming of Jackson I could go without....I'm well aware of our basketball history (about 1 district level win in 40 years, 1 league title in the last 32 years and only about 5 winning seasons in the last 20...that being said....you could've made your point without letting us know how you feel about how much Jackson sucks.

Again, that was the worst game Jackson has played.

I did not mean by using this quote as a beatdown on Jackson! I was using as to to show the problems with the logan basketball program! I think Jackson should compete for the title!

I just have an interesting question to pose... I wonder how many basketball courts, or even Hoops per student there are in Logan, in a "walk-to" location, for most students as compared to a lot of places who excel in the sport? It doesn't seem to be a very high priority here, and the best B-ball players are probably never developed or even discovered.
Possible? Just a thought. :)

Years ago, I can remember the old Central Elem basketball court was always in use in the summer. THose were the days when Logan had a decent basketball program.

I don't think there are very many courts out there these days.
Use to have a full court at every grade school where kids played until after dark.
Swimming pool had two baskets. You could even rent the gyms at the grade schools.

And they wonder why so many kids are over weight.

They just do not care about the kids today.

there are two full court basketball courts at mingo park, one hoop at the logan pool, you have the middle school and the high school and you cant just go in and shoot whenever you want there and you have the community center which is a full court and you can go in there and shoot pretty much whenever you want for free and the elementary schools to but i think that is goes the same way with the middle school and high school

Back in the late 60's ..... kids would meet at Central elementary .. choose up teams, and play for hours.... all year long...
those outdoor baskets were where the action was.. Also at East school, we would sometimes have boys come up from
Nelsonville and join us on that playground court.....
