Claypanther you also thought Clay would win 17 games,as far as the best point guard,as I stated in an earlier post Johnston can play, however if you put Seaman,Ondera,Bendolph,or Legg,on that Waverly team they all could be first option players for that club, and each would be asked to score 15 to 20 points a night. They would have the same freedom offensively that they have for their current teams and they all play great defense.Never say best just say one of the best, and that he is.

[quote="bucki4life"]crazy midgets- i have to disagree with you- for the most part Sam took Bendolph to the hole was after he was injured. Sam is doing what the coaches are asking of him- putting bulletin board material on here about taking people off the list is not wise- Bendolph and Ondera are both great players who have proven themselves- Sam has only 7 games under his belt- my opinion is that he will continue to have a great year however, 7 games doesnt make a league champion or a soc player of the year or the best point guard yet.

Bendolph and Ondera will both play at the next level- and hopefully with continued improvement and good showing Sam will get the same looks. One thing I really like about Waverly is that Sam doesnt have to score a lot for the Tigers to win- but he can score if needed. I hope Sam doesnt get all caught up in who is the best point guard in the league because it doesnt matter.

As far as Kretzer goes... if all things stay the way they are going now... he is going to be hard to beat for a ton of honors- playing for the All Ohio Red has really helped him a lot and he has the chance to be a very sought after division I recruit, but to make him player of the year after seven games is to quick- i just dont like to brag when we arent even half way through the season.

Now after the season if we finish like we all want ---then we can be very proud of are players and what they have achieved.

Bucki4life,
You are spot on, Sam will get better as the season gets longer. He, I am told has played at a high level is Australia, he was one of the top three PG's in the state of Victoria for his age group, so at this point 7 games doesn't show us much, but from what you see on the court, the team enjoys him & he enjoys the team.

Lots of tough games ahead for Waverly. Now the bulls eye is on our back and teams will be gunning for us. Let's keep things in perspective and take one game at a time. I'm sure our players won't get caught up in how they stack up against another player from the opposition; it's all about how we stack up against them as a team.

We have a very tough games coming up at Oak Hill.

Not the only reason I made my statement, Im aware Sam clipped him in the thigh with a knee then took advantage of the situation, he took the dribble penetration away from him all night when he was guarding him which he has done to everyone he has guarded all yr. my opinion.
Hmm unwise, sorry I dont understand? I thought this was a forum for debate and for people to get the chance to give their opinion. I mean who am I that a coach or anyone else for that matter should really give a crap about my opinion (They shouldn't and or they are extremely insecure) I mean really. I dont vote for any awards nor am I a published writer, Im just joe blow in a debate with other joe blows over opinions, I mean come on, do you really think my opinon is going to impact anyones play lol, doesnt a player play as hard as they can each time out, I mean if my opinion does wow Im flattered that people think so highly of it, it will be a first. Hmm maybe I underestimate my opinion I should give Osama Bin Laden it and he will change his ways lol. Sorry couldnt resist just found it hilarious.
