Roback wasn't even touched, he just went in out of control. You people need to get a clue before you post.Game 2 at Waverly should be a barn burner. Oak Hill is just now starting to play pretty good, didn't shoot the ball very well last night or the outcome could've been by double digits.Oak Hill was 37.5% from the floor compared to 48.7% for Waverly. Oak Hill is holding opponents to 41.6 pts per game and they are only going to get better especially now that Cannon is back.
Oak Hill: Ondera 11pts, Hale 10pts, Slone 7pts, Fairchild 2pts, Brown 11pts, Cannon 6pts, Kisor 3pts.
Waverly: Roback 8pts, Johnston 3pts, Kretzer 8pts, Martin 22pts, Kelly 7pts.

Nice video, but to say Roback wasn't even touched is a stretch. It's hard to tell but I still think Ondera tripped him with his left leg and swatted at the ball (can't tell if he hit his arm or not). It doesn't matter, most officials won't call it in that situation unless it's really bad or obvious. Not making excuses or saying the officials missed one - those won't get called very often and we know that.
If you notice from the video as soon as Roback catches the ball he looks to the scoreboard to see the time, as anyone would do. By doing so he misses a wide open Kretzer streaking to the bucket for an easy layup. 3 defenders had converged on Roback leaving Kretzer (and Kelly) open. The Tigers seemed rushed and rattled at the end.
Hopefully the Tigers will learn from this one and just get better.

The better option looks to be Martin on the baseline. I'll take him one on one with anyone that close to the bucket.

When I first looked at the video I thought Roback was out of control. Watch it again and look at Kyle's left leg. Refs swallow their whistles at the end of the game, but we do have a clue.

Re: Waverly at Oak Hill
The Oak Hill people were even saying they fouled him after the game, and lets make it clear- they should have fouled him, they had three to give- but that is not why Waverly lost and no one is saying it is!! And I am sure that if that was Oak Hill on offense no one would be yelling foul- Hey Waverly loss and thats the way it is.... if you are going to beat the defending state champions on the road you better play better than we did last night.
Re: Waverly at Oak Hill
You got that right, bucki4life. The Tigers must play better than that to beat Oak Hill at Oak Hill. The Tigers better play better than that Friday night at home as the undefeated Jeeps invade the jungle at the downtown arena.

"I couldn't believe that we were killed on the glass like that. I"ve never seen another team do that to us this year (I missed the Logan Elm game). I thought Kretzer really battled on the glass all night. Unfortunately, I didn't think as a group we boxed out very well, and we let them own the paint. I think I heard on the way home, they took like 37 shots in the paint, compared to our 20 (that's not exact, but close). I think that tells the story."
bookem13- That's basically what the radio announcers were saying also. I'm not sure how many offensive rebounds Oak Hill ended up with but they had 8 or 9 at the end of the 1st quarter. I'm sure for the game Oak Hill took a lot more shots from the field than we did. Pretty hard to win when that happens.

This is true. Earlier this week Norm was named as the National Coach of the year for boys basketball by NFHS.
Congrats Norm, what an honor!
