Hiring a new coach every year usually leads to one of two outcomes. You get lucky and snag a really good coach in one of those hirings and he is very successful because he is lucky enough to inherit some talented players. Or, you get someone who for what ever reason, is not a good coach at that time in his career. Either way it's a crap shoot. I think FH needs to find someone who will make a long term committment to the program. The more proven the coach, the better. Make a committment to a quality coach, and in turn ask him to do the same for the program.

Do you see Eastern and Southern running in their freshman JV players when they've got the other team on the run? Look at the score at the end of the first quarter and then look at the 2nd quarter rotation, then go back and look at the score at the half. Varsity sports is more than about just shooting the ball; quickness, position defense, strength and a whole host of other attributes that come with maturity and are very important elements that get overlooked unless you truly understand the game which obviously the FH coaching staff doesn't have a clue.

Nothing personal towards any of these young players, your day is coming. FH has a very nice 6'10" sophomore that most other teams in the Tri-Valley would be so glad to welcome. Any of you remember DJ Cunningham as a sophomore? It takes time for these big boys to develop and by his Senior year Cunningham was a fine player and now in DI college basketball. IMO this young man is being way under utilized and not getting the development that he needs!

Kudos to these FH seniors and loan junior for sticking with this roller coaster ride which has the appearance of a "building for the future year" and not taking care of business at hand. I think it's time for the administration to place a want ad, again, because with your current leadership you're heading down another dead-end street!

At least Coach Murray is not a parent... :)
