I thought this game would be much closer. Eastern Brown has a very good ball team and very good guards.

My point, exactly, ticklethetwine. Be careful. Slug will chastise you, too.

Congrats to the Tigers. I wasn't surprised at the outcome since I figured they would win, but I sure never envisioned a 30 point blowout.

observations........
Tigers absolutely dismantled EB. EB really had no chance. Typical SHL team that lives by the 3 and dies by the 3. You had to figure the 10/14 against the burg couldnt be replicated tonight.
Tigers defensive pressure was relentless. By 3rd quarter EB just couldnt keep up the intensity and get up and down the court with ironton. They were just not used to this type of competition. Ironton was relentless.
A LOT better subbing players tonight. No head scratchers tonight.
Good things happen when Timmy stays in the game and shoots and shoots and shoots. Keeping him out of foul trouble early and in the game is key.
Tigers schedule has really payed dividends. This team is very prepared.
Fletcher was all over the boards. A freshman. Seriously?
Tigers still sloppy on turnovers. Way to many. You can get away with that against teams like EB but not against good teams like the Peake.
This is one of the better coaching jobs Ive seen on a team in a long long time.........especially after losing a starting guard mid-season..
Go Tigers

Ironton had one of those games tonight where everything went right and everthing for EB went wrong. EB fans nearby said this was not the team they watched during regular season play or other post-season games. Tigers were never threatened in the contest.
Chesapeake looked sharp in its 52-51 win over Garaway.

A lot depends on which officials show up, whether or not they come to call another football game like Saturday or a basketball game, GO WARRIORS--BY THIRTEEN!!!
Sounds like the makings of an excuse for a loss......believe it or not, basketball is a contact sport....
I called it...however...Eastern Brown played really hard...the kid who played up top with the spike hair cut...really played good defense on malcom..however..they left Korkendorfer open six feet behind the three point line...just gave him way too much room for him to be open for the three...lol..seriously..he was on fire..having 29 points tonight...but it showed that if you shut down one kid on this team..they have four others ready to make up for it at all times...and a bench that is ten deep...I think they are now totally believing in themselves...just hope the officiating stays as good as it was tonight..well officiated game both ways tonight...Good Job Tigers...now to root on the Girls...
