SOC2 2010-11
Re: SOC2 2010-11
Who in the SOC2 are playing in the Zane Trace Tip Off Classic this weekend? Also, what do you think of their matchups?
Re: SOC2 2010-11
Swanker Pine,
Talking of the Tigers, not only is Roback gone but so is Johnston, Malone and Remy. The SOC2 is wide open with no clear favorite. The winner of the SOC2 could very well have 3 losses.

I was going to say 3 "or more", bucki4life, but figured it would be safe to start at 3, lol.

Waverly clearly has the most talent. I think you could argue that they have the best 2 players in the conference on the same team...as a minimum 2 of the top 4 (Yates and Stegman). this should be the year of the Tigers in the SOC2. Best of luck to all the SOC schools!

Compared to what? If you are comparing him to Labron James he not very good, compared to my 6 year old grandson he's pretty good..

He's good, he could probaly beat some of the SOC1 teams by himself, not sure about the team around him though. No 1 man is going to beat any SOC2 teams this season. He's top 5
Re: SOC2 2010-11
I had heard he was good but didn't know if he just shot the 3 really well or had a well rounded game.

Now that is a funny statement.Swanker Pine wrote:He's good, he could probaly beat some of the SOC1 teams by himself, not sure about the team around him though. No 1 man is going to beat any SOC2 teams this season. He's top 5

Yates is a great player, but he isn't beating 5 players of an SOC1 school by himself? I'd like to see him try to beat Eastern Pike by himslef!

I guess depends on who you talk too? I know Valley beat them by 2 in a foundation scrimmage (for whatever that is worth) by 2 points on a last second shot like 82-80. I don't know how many points Yates had, but i doubt it was 82...lol Also heard that they more than held their own against Webster in a scrimmage???strokn7 wrote:I saw eastern pike. Are they supposed to be good?
In other words he is a great player, but saying he can beat 5 soc1 players by himself is a rediculous statement.

Whats more ridiculous is that it got you all fired up, and you even challenged him to play Eastern on his own hahaha. Basically Swanker was using figure of speech to say "He's pretty good"
WOW.

LOL. Twas a figure of speech but I have seen the literal version more than once (circa 05-06 Mr. Aldrige)
