You people honestly don't have a clue what your talking about. #11 isn't even the top scorer on the team. As of late he has stepped up to lead them, but Hale led the first half of the season in scoring and the other Carroll brother was the leading scorer last year as a sophomore. So three solid scorers that can drop 20+ any night. As I said earlier, you caught the Oaks on a night where two scorers had slow nights. It happens and you won. That's how basketball works. But don't get on here and talk like you know the Oaks when you have watched two games out of 19 and are obviously talking out of your rectum.wobycat wrote:Because people don't know the rules. Fans have to blame something for loss. Holden from Burg is a good basketball player and he's cocky at times but he's 16 years old. He's clearly above most of the kids he plays against. He can attack the basket and almost draw a foul every time he goes there, unless they want him to score every play they have to show resistance. The fouls yesterday became lopsided in the fourth when Oaks had to become more aggressive.Redsfan wrote:I still don't understand how officiating can even be a topic of discussion anymore regarding league games. For example......"you know what to expect going in to wheelersburg". The home team DOES NOT pick the referees.....they are assigned. For the most part you see the same 12-15 guys no matter where you play. As I said earlier, I believe 2 of the 3 that officiated last night also did the game at Oak Hill. Now in the old days that wasn't the case......you could easily get the officials you wanted and maybe have a little "home cooking". Not the case anymore.
As far as the Oaks, They are extremely well coached. Play old man ball. Pass screen away, etc. They rarely turn it over and play solid defense. Having said that they have to rely in #11 to score. He's great and should be POY but he's eventually going to be locked down and contained forcing others to win the game. They are decent but Burg has more talent 1 thru 5.
So we are all supposed to believe you are that much more athletic and better 1-5 even though your a 4 loss team and were beaten by a league team the Oaks put away by 22. If the Oaks are "decent" at 18-1 and Burg is 12-4 what would you call them, "below decent", "almost decent", "not quite decent", "next to decent" or just "not quite up to the level of decent of the Oaks"?
You really can't make this poop up. You guys are comical.
