Chesapeake has everything to lose since they were the number one seed in the sectional and have remained higher than Portsmouth in the AP rankings all season.

The pressure is all on Chesapeake to prove that they are better than Portsmouth (and possibly Ironton on Saturday).
 Keep on milkin' it Tobias.

Less than 24 hours. Either Peake avenges last year's defeat, or it's baseball season.

The jig is up, guys, Chesapeake Prep is gonna have to drop back down to being a regular high school.

Nah, I think the Rase boys were from Wheelersburg and Colin Kennedy transferred in from somewhere.

In front of a big audience, every "O" possession turns into a showboat of who can make the most athletic move to the basket, like a bunch of LeBron wannabe's, pretending to try and draw fouls.
Maybe... if ya'll could make a free throw.
Peake tops this one ;)
Just a heads up PHS made 75 percent of their free throws vs Valley 18 of 24.
Portsmouth does try to make a move to the basket and try and draw fouls, that’s a part of the game, and if you look at our record for the last two years it seems to be working.
Also please tell me when you have seen Portsmouth lose self control? They didn’t against a very good Valley team the other night despite trailing by 7 entering the 4th quarter. Or have a lack of discipline? Since Gene Collins took over the program there has been nothing of the sort.
As for in front of the big audience I assure you the Trojans have played in front of many and the show boating as you said never happens. Not against Chillicothe, not against Ironton, not against Warren, not against Valley, not last year in the tourney run and it won’t against Chesapeake either. I don’t know if you haven’t had the chance to see Portsmouth, but these young men play very well together, and are very team oriented, and spread it around. I would love to see what Wayne Evans assist total is for this year, it has to be astronomical, and this after making the move to the point guard position for the betterment of the team.

I knew the Rase players where from Burg, but didnt they have a parent working at Peake? Kennedy did he have a brother last year? Not bad just 3 for having a program like you 've had for years, keep it up!!!

Four of five starters are born and raised in Chesapeake.

Last year only both Kennedy's were not from Chesapeake.

How many players are born and raised in one school district? Silly.

Btw, the rase boys dad was the principal at Chesapeake and mom was a teacher there.

Whe have you been trojanfbalum? You are one of my favorite posters of all time.

Wayne Evans transferred back to Portsmouth from Ironton after his freshman year. Only because he had to. Does it really matter? The teams of Portsmouth and Chesapeake will be playing regardless of transfers.

If they play so well, then why are they always arguing on the floor. seen this in a game when they were to busy arguing and opposing team went right by them for a easy 2.

Thank you , and I guess I just haven't read anything on here to make me angry enough to post lol jk. Just busy I guess.

Please specify when this was because I haven't seen it. I have seen them angry in the heat of the moment and one or two players take charge and get in someones ear for a minute. On a senior team like this I have no problem with your leaders doing that, its not a fight or an argument its saying hey get your head in the game and get with it, if you watch they will also be the next person to pat someone on the back when something good happens.
TIGERFOOL wrote: Not even close to Carter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not going to sit here and split hairs about who is better. Both are great ball players, I haven't seen all of Carters games and I assume you haven’t of Evans, so I don't know or really care, who has more, I was never talking about him. I used Wayne and his assist to illustrate, the team first mentality that the Trojans have, knowing that he would take a knock in points this year moving to pt guard but still did it for the betterment of the team, is what I was pointing out since Yoduh seems to think the team show boats every time down the court. Hopefully we can both advance tonight, and get to see Evans and the Trojans, and Carter and the Fighting Tigers square off one more time this season. Best of luck to Ironton tonight.

I know you don't want to hear it, but here are the links to listening to Ironton's game:
ALMOST GAME TIME
On the radio on WIRO 1230 AM
On the internet: http://www.foxsports1230.com/main.html
Click on LISTEN LIVE at the top left corner then the Fox Sports 1230 & 1420 logo.
However, if you are having problems connecting through that website, you can listen live at http://www.iheartradio.com/main.html. I find that Huntington, WV stations come up on my computer without putting in the 45638 ZIP code, but you might need to. Click on Fox Sports.

Please post the links for Portsmouth's game. I listened via my computer last game [FM radio station reception is iffy even from just 30 miles away] per the url posted last minute, and it started out terrible with an echo distortion but cleared up and came in perfectly. Do it again!

Portsmouth has been a little off rythm lately vs. both Piketon and Valley, I credit that mainly to the tempo from both teams by design ofcourse to get Portsmouth out of their rythm because when you do that, Portsmouth doesn't even shoot the ball as well as normal. The Trojans like to get up and down and play in that flow, and when that is taken away it creates problems. That being said, I seen Chesapeake play fast vs. Peebles and run the sideline break a lot, basically just pushing the ball up the court, I see this playing to Portsmouth's advantage, and expect big nights shooting the ball from Evans and Whitley. Portsmouth by 9. McKinley another 20 and 15 type game. If Collins and Carter play to their capabilities Portsmouth could win going away. I'm very interested for this matchup, because like I said earlier..the Peake will run..BUT they know when it is time to grind it out in the halfcourt, and I am interested to see the gameplan Coach Davis brings. I also wonder if Coach Collins will go the trapping zone to speed up Peake if Davis does insist on playing a more halfcourt game. Basketball Thirty!
