Great game for the fans. Well worth the $5 for the ticket. Congrats to Valley who played very well. Dunn had ice in his veins to hit those 2 foul shots to tie the game and send it to overtime. Keep your heads up Falcons there is still plenty of basketball to be played.

Use howard on gullion maybe and run all our bigs at mccray and see what happens .....looking forward to a very very good game .... and hope valley can find the free throw gods and bank a few in if they have to ....

Forgot to mention i want to see mcbee throw one down two handed ...read somewhere on here he did in warmups ...thats cool .... Players around here are working hard to be in shape and dunk ...valley has several getting stronger on their attempts also
McBee can throw it down with 2 hands, as he has done in warmups. The one handed dunks are easy for him, as well as 3 other kids on the team.

Minford by 11. McCray will have his way underneath. I hope Valley plans to defend the same Minford offense they saw in December.

Based on what? I get that you are a big Minford fan but come on. The Falcons may very well win this game. They are very good.

The first time around you predicted a double digit Falcon win. You were obviously wrong. In the first matchup, Dunn dropped 20 on McCray and that was 3 weeks after injuring his ankle in the Regional Finals. I get that the Falcons are a different team and all that, but so is Valley. In the first game Valley was 4-15 from 3 and 6-16 from the foul line. Minford is not the only team to get better. Minford has the talent to win this game and win the league, but to say that McCray will have his way with a player that owned him the first time around and that Minford will beat a team by double figures that already beat them on their home court is just being a homer.
What a game last night. The atmosphere was everything you could ask for. A packed house with two student sections very into the game. Both teams executed what they wanted to and took care of the ball. The difference was Valley's two experienced Juniors (Jordan West and Hayden Dunn) were awesome last night. West basically was able to shoot the Falcons out of their zone by hitting six 3's. He also mixed his game up by scoring off some great cuts to the hoop. I believe 31 is he career high.

Dunn proved that he is the best post player in the league last night. He kept the Indians in the game in the first half and then made the huge plays down the stretch. Hayden finished with 27 points and 9 boards and I believe that 27 is also a career high for him. I do want to say that McCray is a very good player. He was a tough handle.

One of the big things last night was that Valley's "other guys", Chris Flowers, Zach Shope, and Will Howard, did a better job of getting West and Dunn the ball where they could score. I thought last night was the most unselfish the Indians have played all season long. When the Indians move the ball and hit the glass, they are very hard to beat. The defense in overtime (only gave up 1 point in the 4 minutes) was absolutely outstanding. Just a great win last night. Valley is now in the driver seat to go back to back in the league.

The last thing I will say is that I think that Minford is the 2nd best team we have seen this season, behind only Ironton. I seen Oak Hill put one on us and Piketon pull one out against us, but I think Minford is better than both of those teams. I believe that if Valley can knock off Oak Hill and Valley and Minford both win out, the Indians could end up with the #2 and the Falcons #3 or #4 and then these two both have a chance to make it to the Regionals. I think both teams are that good, so it would be nice if they could both make it without having to play each other.

I think they will be able to avoid each other until at least the district finals. I doubt they slip to the 3 and 4, but that would be a heck of a DF if they did. Sounds like an excellent game. Congrats to the Indians on the huge W.

Congrats Indians. I picked the Falcons, but covered my pick (lol) by saying that I wouldn't be suprised if Valley pulled it out.

Good luck to both the rest of the way.

howards defense on McBee was great, all around good game for Will , clark- holbrook defense on McBee great hustle , west on track hope it continues, Dunn got to use all his moves last night after being double and triple teamed last 4 games, guards limited turnovers and fouls and hit the open man with ball reversal and crisper passes best game played so far against a good team ....also JV team played their best game last night with defense and best shooting of the season making up for the debacle at minford.

If they end up the 3-4 they would probably play in the Finals. I think if they both can hold serve, they should be 2-4.

Congrats on another win against a stout opponent. I'm very pleased to see the tribe put together a couple of successful years in the SOC II. Winning can be very contagious.

This is my pick as the game of the year this far! Lucasville's gym was rocking and there wasn't an empty seat in the house. These two teams played at an extremely high for almost the entire game. Dunn and West were an unstoppable inside-outside combination, they constantly made the Falcons pay for playing zone. Coach Rolfe threw a mix of man and zone at the Falcons and even pressed them for a while. McCray is a load and McBee is a very talented player. The Indians put their focus on these two and asked the other Falcons to step up and make plays. Gullion had a real good game, but the rest of the Falcons struggled to help on the offensive end. The Valley team I watched on Friday are as good as anyone in Region. The road to Columbus still goes through Ironton, but I really like this Valley team. The Falcons are as good as anyone but Indians have their number. I hope that I get to see another game with that much excitement and such a high level of play this year.
