We almost had them. Nice to know that a bunch of guys who play hard can get close to a great team with a little help from three friends. Howie tried every tactic he had but we were ready.Binary wrote:With Farmer Yoder and the Cheatem twins slated to call the game, Waterford is already up by 15 over Trimble in the varsity game. Unioto - 74
Paint Valley - 60
Game was tight throughout the first 3 quarters. Have you heard that before? Everybody giving Unioto their best game. As it seems to be the case, Unioto's depth and constant ability to guard help them pull away from their toughest road test to date. Paint Valley, led by Clay Stratton's 25, has a great nucleus of a team, but they're one offensive tool away from competing for the title. Unioto was led by a barrage of scoring again from its starting 5. Erique Hosley was held to just 2 by the interior of PV, but Logan Swackhammer (freshman guard donated by the ironmen) was able to hit big 3's and FT's to total 11 on the night off the bench. Unioto will host the hottest team in the league in Piketon at home tomorrow. Unioto ran away in the village last time out. Should make for an interesting rematch.
