Tough game.

Vinton County dominated the game. Their players were pumped and played great defense, always where they were supposed to be…got all the weak side rebounds, moved the ball great and drilled shots. Jackson was a step slow on defense and couldn’t hit a shot, some because VC was where they were supposed to be and some just, one of those nights.

Once Campbell left the court just a couple minutes into the game…things got going the wrong direction and it never came back. The Vikings held Jarvis and Campbell to I think 11 combined points…they are typically near 30.

That VC performance…probably not what Coach Maddox wanted to see. That execution and effort can get them to the district finals….heck they looked as good as Warren, Miami Trace and Washington did when they beat us.

Freshman Steven Jenkins had a good statistical game with a career high 11 points, 6 or so rebounds and around 5 assists

Jackson will get back in the gym and fix the defense. 69 points isn’t Jackson basketball

I have to say - I was surprised by the score at Jackson. I thought we would win-but not like that. I hope it carries over for the rest of the years. We might have a shot at Warren-------We should have beat WCH this year already!!!! :D :D :D :D
Take it 1 game at a time. We have to beat Wellston tonight.
