its a toss up 4 player of the year but i think bobbie smithson out of western should be considered as well.

Not taking anything away from Smithson at Western but I have not seen anyone in Chris Tibbs' caliber the entire year. Yes, he has a couple of games when his percentage was down alittle but for the most part he has been consistant all year long. If he does not get POY most people will be greatly supprised.

Question: Has the Tibbs boy been playing AAU ball in the off season?

east did not play saturday night. Tibbs should be the POY in the SOC I hands down with Shanks 2nd from Western

I agree with T-blue. Tibbs is by far the better player but does not have as much around him as Shanks. I take nothing away from Shanks, he's very good. But Tibbs is better, IMHO.

the only reason smithson doesnt get mentioned is because of the talent on that team..every1 knows shanks gets the spot light 4 that team..smithson is kinda in his shadow..tibbs is a well rounded player but in my opinion, smithson could take tibbs..but whoever wins it...they deserve it..

Any word on the western simms game

western by 5 sv had a 3 point lead late in the 4th but had a couple of mental errors and let wes. get the lead back western has 4 very good players and symmes valley is young.but you could tell the refs got off the bus with western tibbs had 2 blocked shots out of the air after it left the shooters hand and a full body space in between the 2 players and fouls was called on him the rest of the teams players on both sides was able to put there hands all over people,hold jersees,hak,and put there hands on the hips of the player they was gaurding and no fouls tibbs was the only player that could not breath on another player with out a foul,3 fouls first quarter.i have never seen this crew before must be from western 2nd half called fair.western played a box and 1 on tibbs and player gaurding him was able to hold on to his jersee and keep him from moving on the court.the nice thing about it was sv had alot of players step up and you never seen tibbs complain to the refs or show any emotion he seemed fine with his team mates scoring the points.look out tourny. time for sv as there youg players are starting to hit there stride.good game vikings
