Warrens not even starting there best five. If you wanna win you gotta play as a team and AC and Grant surely dont. They play as a two. Warren should be starting Ward, Knost, French, Hastie and Henthorn. Theyll play as a team more than than the starting five they have know. I would bench AC and Venham to show them there not irreplacable. Then maybe theyll notice they need teammates to win. Goodluck Warriors this season. I took a trip to watch them last night scouting and thats what I observed.

Rebellion....as your name implies you are going to diss the team....but this one is so far off it doesn't really deserve a reply....Warren will go as far as these two lead us....make no mistake we need to play team ball (and we will) but these are the two that are clearly going to take us to the promised land this year! Wish you could have seen the scrimmage the next night....a much better example of the force we will see as it was a full scrimmage....

Coach Maddox will do another fine job at Warren and have them competing for a league title.

If they don't win the SEOAL, they will be one of their top teams.

I hope Warren wins every game this year except vs Belpre.

Good luck and good health to all teams.

Never ceases to amaze me why any school bothers hiring coaches when they have so many more experts in ths stands who work for nothing.

lol-now that is a good one

Warren looked pretty good to me last year and seem to be doing well in their scrimmages. I would say you are in the minority on your thoughts. Is calling players out on a public forum make you a team player?

I watched Warren a few times last year and no way does someone start over Venham and Cunningham

Listening to Trojan Dave, Portsmouth might get off to a slow start this year that might give some separation early on for Chillicothe to get the upper hand.

Guys don't get me wrong. There both tremendous athletes but Warren is very deep this year and I'm not sure if this team will get used to there potential. If there coached right. Which maddux can do this team will be very good and could be the best team is south eastern Ohio. This year and next year. The junior class is very strong.

fan...i think if you ask anybody they will tell you a good team has to have good senior leadership...3 of this years seniors have played together for 15 years and probably have accumulated less than 20 losses and a lot of championships...leadership is not only shown on the court, or the box score but off the court in the lockerroom and community as well...Grant and Austin have 7 years of varsity experience together i think just based on that fact alone you cant afford to sit them much...there are some great looking juniors but i bet there i not a total of one whole year expeience between them...these kids get paid the same regardless of if you think they deserve to play or not so if you want to see a change either help coach or dont watch them...

well bankshot that sounds like a true statement about not sitting them much, but when we played in our time, it didnt matter how great you were , if you didnt give 100 percent the whole time you got sat out. from what ive seen in the last 2 years this hasnt happened. Being a great leader means you show others by your work ethic, and dedication. If these boys give 100 percent everytime then im sorry, times have really changed and have gotten really soft and quite lazy from when the days of no 3point line basketball. And also sounds like your going out on a limb to say they are true leaders off the court, I know this is your opinion. From a spectators point of view though,it doesnt seem like there is alot of team unity and thats makes me question leadership??? So maybe these seniors can prove the old man wrong but until they put forth an effort that I seen from the mitchem boy put forth in waterford then i wont believe it, That was impressive because he played with HEART and never slacked 1 single time down the court because he knows he dont have a guaranteed starting position like these boys do, Nobody is to good to be sat when not giving it there hardest. So hope im proved wrong.....The sun comes out tomorrow :|

Ah the drama from Warren's so called fans continues into the new season. It's the same vicious cycle about who should play and how they play every year. Can someone post Warrens home games over the Christmas Holiday, Thank You.

Providing the Warriors stay injury free, I predict Warren Local will capture the 2010-11 SEOAL cage title. WL has lots of talent returning, good players up from last year's reserve team and a fine coaching staff.

If there coached correctly and they can be they will have a shot at winning the seoal. It should be a fun season. They can go 8-9 deep. The two senior studs are good but will need help to win the league. If they can get that help which with this team this year it should be easy Warren will be a good ball team

warrior cc...sorry this years team doesnt quite compare to Hoosiers...if you think you can tell me one "kid" who gives 110 percent all the time not only in the games but in practice as well i would love to hear your joke...kids are going to be kids and basically do whatever they want to do... i think if you look around every program you will see that there are a lot of hard working kids that sit the bench...when you are a coach you have to have the 5 on the floor that are going to give you the best chance at winning the game not just someone who tries hard...now i will agree that someone who tries hard day in and day out should get their chance but its about winning games not just satisfying the kids or their parents...seeing how you say your old im sure you have seen the movie rudy and what did all that hard work get him beside a broken nose and a lot of icing...one play?and to say that im going out on a limb to say that venham and cunningham arent leaders in the community you are just crazy...it must be a short limb because you couldnt ask for two better kids

Well bankshot, not into movies but have seen Rudy. I dont think there is a comparison actually. But I will talk HOOSIERS...If these boys were coached by Coach Norman Dale, They would have got kicked off and brought back by their parents to stay on that team. We would have seen the Warriors finish several games with just 4 players because "HIS TEAM IS ON THE FLOOR!" Nobody would quit playing defense, walk up the floor, or take themselves out? Coach Dale preached fundamentals, defense and chemistry! "5 players on the floor functioning as one single unit; TEAM,TEAM,TEAM... No one more important than the other!" I would take my chances anytime with kids that play hard and TOGETHER! Playing your best players is always the smart way to try to win, but always not the best solution if there is things like that going on. Maybe we should recommend that our boys watch this movie with our seniors sitting in the front row? So thank you bankshot for reminding me of what the Warriors need, a day at the theatre or school auditorium to see this GREAT MOVIE! THE SUN COMES OUT TOMORROW  AND....DONT GET CAUGHT WATCHING THE PAINT DRY!

OK? Before you two start in again, I think I'm following you and you both might be agreeing with one another....maybe not.. Here's what I see, those boys both play well, have played well, and are gonna play well. I'm gonna guess if they have to watch a movie, they will go to sleep. HOWEVER, they do seem to be in a bit of a funk. (for lack of a better word) I'm not in practice, I do get to see who shows up some days but I can't answer the 100% question. I have a few standards I kind of try to live by some days I give 100%, some days i don't, other days I want to give 110, and end up with 90...It doesn't make me a bad person. It doesn't make me a quitter, or lazy. It is a sign something isn't quite as it needs to be. Arguing over something you don't control is senseless. So......we are gonna let Coach Maddox make those decisions, He lives and dies by them. I'm gonna be honest with you this is very entertaining, and somedays I can't wait to read this stuff. I guess what I'm trying to say is keep posting, argue when you need to, but don't keep beating a dead horse. I hope that the kids work hard, play hard and have fun. I hope there are good attitudes, and I hope the parents support their kids. (I'm sure they do) Probably a few are already saying some of the same things you are. Let's Stick together and support one another, maybe even change the Barlow sign to GO TEAM. I want us to go further than we ever have before, and for that to happen we need to pick each other up when we are down, not pick the starting five. We have to pick a point or two that are very positive, Identify the ones who did well today, and know that these kids are just that "kids" . They need love, support, direction ( CC, that is the nice way to say a swift kick in the pants), and recognition... I don't think any of us need put down. Especially if something is wrong.
Its early, Its gonna get better. Argue, but don't fight. GET BETTER EVERY DAY
