Re: Marietta @ Warren 2/8
You say they brought physicality but yet complain about the officals not being consistent. If they were being physical how did Warren only shoot one FT in the whole first half and only 7 for the game (only because Marietta was fouling on purpose). If they in your opinion were being physical and the refs were inconsistent don't you figure Warren would have shot more FT's?

If you must now, I graduated from Caldwell. But basically, if you rag on someone in the PVC, then i'm going to dish it right back at ya.

PVC is a great league, that's all I'm saying. The competition is top notch and every game could be televised on ESPNU!

Warren is in the PVC? dang didn't hear the news about that one.I drain 3's wrote:If you must now, I graduated from Caldwell. But basically, if you rag on someone in the PVC, then i'm going to dish it right back at ya.
Re: Marietta @ Warren 2/8
Your right there is on the floor fouls my bad. Marietta only had 3 or 4 fouls total in the first half and only 4 before they started fouling on purpose late. IMO the refs let both teams play physical.

No they're not. But i've seen numerous Marietta posters rip on FF, so I'll continue to rip on Marietta.dennisdrinksbud wrote:Warren is in the PVC? dang didn't hear the news about that one.I drain 3's wrote:If you must now, I graduated from Caldwell. I mean, i'm only stating the truth. Every quality team Marietta has played, they have lost to. Are they even above .500 in the league?

jcbigblue: i was not saying that, i'm saying that it was a clean steal and venham is a big boy so it's gonna take a lot to "push" him. and i will be there friday but after that intimidating post i will not be coming to see you! i'm too scared! i think chilli will handle the warriors with a steady dose of ragland johnson and london.

Maybe Marietta doesn't have many/any I don't care whatever, quality wins but what has taken them to the level they are at right now is that they have won the games they should had.. And that's something a lot of teams can't say and gives the fans a reason to be excited! 10+ wins is never a fluke

Ohiobaseball25..I agree the Warrors will have their hands full Friday night but I expect they will be ready for the challenge they have beat Chilli at home before so I would say its going to be a good one. Still you ought to come over and say hi I really like meeting people.
Re: Marietta @ Warren 2/8
Jottings, The Warren/Marietta Freshmen game was played Mon. night. Warren 61 Marietta 33. So in turn out to be another Triple Win for the Warren Program over Marietta this time. We have done real good with the tripleheaders this year.
Re: Marietta @ Warren 2/8
Dennis I'm not Rod leave him out of this and by the way I wasn't talking to you about that but if you want to come over and say hi come on over like I said I like meeting people.
Here is an interesting figure for you, Marietta had 12 total fouls and commited 6 of them with 4 minutes to go in the game. So for 28 minutes they commited 6 fouls playing physical how is that inconsistent refereeing.

Dennis: He's not Rod. Besides, Rod looks at this "like you look at Road Kill" you really don't want to look, and when you do your sorry you did. lol
OK, THIS WAS AWESOME!!!! Hats off to both Teams!! Marietta brought out the fans, the Student Section, and the parents. Their players played hard, with class, and determination. Well Done. A game to the last buzzer.
I will admit, I didn't expect Warren to play the game as it was played tonite. If you have followed my posts, I have had very hi hopes for this team all year. This is the type of play we have been capable of all year. I don't have the stats. Other folks have that job. AC, tremendous team play. (thats a compliment, don't allow it to be twisted ) Scoring, passing, patience. Leadership. This type of play brought out what your other team mates have to offer. Thank you ! Hilvy, DEFENSE, I was able to see rebounding, you took care of the ball. Well Done. Grant: Heart, determination, rebounds, scoring, blocked shots. Leadership. Dylan: scoring, defense, physical play. Hastie: Defense, hard work, movement with and without the ball . THE BENCH THE DEPTH: Henthorn: Defense, screens, movement with and without the ball. Windland: Hittin the reverse layup, good Defense, Ward: Scoring, Passing, steals, Defense. Knost: Defense, Offense, moved well with and without the ball.
Not only did we move the ball, we moved without the ball. We knew when to score, and when to be patient. The dry first quarter shooting that has haunted us, disappeared tonite. The first quarter turnovers wern't there. Each and every player stepped up and contributed in their own way!!!
I commend you all. Coach Maddox and Staff included. This is the TEAM I talk about. This is TEAM you can be proud of! This team can win tourny games.
Marietta, a big Pat on the back. It takes a team like yourselves to bring out the best in our Warriors.
WARRIORS: Press on, Chili is on the way. Excoach 78: You are right. They are coming together. Heading up the mountain, the Peak is in site.
