What schools have had the biggest crowds this year? I know Wheelersburg has a nice following and probably had the most people there Sunday.

Warren had a very nice following. Logan Elm also brought a solid crowd.

Peebles had the largest crowd of the D4 schools Saturday. I didn't stay for session 2 or 3 so I can't comment on the other divisions.

… it looked to me like the largest crowds go to :

1. Warren
2. Logan Elm
3 Peebles

…in that order

I wish the Wheelersburg-Ready game were on Saturday bc that would be a very heavily attended game with 2 passionate fan bases. Not sure how many people from Columbus will get to make the trek down in the middle of the week. I will be there but won't be looking at getting home till around midnight.

Columbus is closer to Athens than wheelersburg. The burg will bring triple your crowd. No excuses accepted.

According to google maps it is 1 hr 27 minutes for Burg and 1 hr 25 minutes for Ready, so it's a wash and both fan bases should get home at the same time.

All I'm saying is that I'm leaving work early in order to avoid as much Columbus traffic as possible. Otherwise going from 270 to 33 would be a bear and a minimum of a 2 hour trip. That being said, hope both fan bases travel safe and Go Ready!

Perhaps a better question would be "Who had the biggest crowd percentage of the size of their school?" Didn't get to go to the St. Joseph game, but I know we always travel well. We took a pep bus and had many adults who did not have a child playing or cheering who made the trip. For a school with 100 students (7-12), I'd say we were well represented.
Save travel for all going up next couple of days!

Bowling Green Regional has been postponed over the amount of snow they are getting today.

Heard they might postpone the Athens regional until tomorrow night. Athens is supposed to get hit with some decent snow today.

Don't want to come out of the convo tonight at 9:30 to a bunch of snow to have to drive back in. Been there done that.

There are games there the rest of the week. They will have a mess if they try to push stuff back. The regionals are big money. They will do what they have to do to keep it spread out.

Heard it is sleeting in Cincinnati and snowing pretty good in New Albany.

Might have to do a Saturday/Sunday deal.

Its too late now to change tonight's schedule, unless the schools have already been notified. I am sure Martins Ferry is already on the way to Athens and Valley is probably leaving very soon.

I cannot believed they did not postpone those games! No reason at all to be on the roads during an advisory.

What?

We didn't see anything but minor spitting of rain and little snow on the way home.

I agree. With the type of winter we have had, if games were cancelled every time there was a weather advisory, most teams would be playing basketball until the end of March.
