Coached Logan for a couple of seasons (79-81) and then ended up in Columbus. He had a couple of boys who went to DeSales. One played against Logan in football during the '03 season.

The '85-'86 team, probably the best in LHS history, lacked the big man on the block despite having a ton of skill in Keith Myers, Kerry York, and DJ Conrad.
Mark was no more than 6' 03' and he might have been that tall in grade school.....lol

When mark was playing Pee wee baseball he was in Sports Illustrated for pitching a 64/00 shut out

I've got to see the first two games this season and Im kinda puzzled.... Why do we have Kevin Fisher 6-9 playing around the three point line. Why are we not pushing the inside game. On top Fisher we have Gabe Smith 6-3 and Evan DeLong6 6-3. Just a question.

I've talked to two other Logan fans who have said the same thing.

... the Purple started out 2-0 but have dropped 2 straight to teams with winning records ...

Logan 32
Chesapeake 43

Logan 40
Portsmouth 55

... the Chiefs are on the road tonight taking on 5-2 Unioto ...the Shermans are on a 5 game win streak, rounding into the form they were projected to have entering the season ... a very physical ball club at all positions ... Logan will have problems on the boards , lots of perimeter pressure from UHS as well , tough defensively - with the Purple of Coach Helber averaging just 36 points in the last 2 outings it will take a big turnaround to pick up a "W" tonight vs Unioto ...

Portsmouth led from the start in a 55-40 win over the Chieftains, but I give Logan a lot of credit for hanging in the game. The Trojans didn't put the game away until the final 3 minutes, expanding a 9-10 point lead to the final margin of 15. PHS's biggest lead was 17 points, but LHS made a good run, cutting that to 9 points in the 4th period. I think that Kevin Fisher has a lot of upside, as he showed a variety of skills away from the basket. He did use his size advantage to post up inside and score some buckets. He also had a nice putback/slam dunk. Number 1 (don't know his name) hurt the Trojans with a couple of 3's to cut the lead, but really the Chieftains struggled to get into a rhythm offensively. They did take advantage of some turnovers which helped them make their rally early in the 4th quarter.

Logan loses number 5 in a row tonight ... Logan 2-5 on the season ...

Logan 38
@ St Charles 51 final

...not as close as the final score indicates ... Fisher had 17 points ... Logan comes back to Jim's Gym to play a 5-4 Gallia Academy team which has won 5 in a row ...

Looks like the teams we have been playing of late are shutting down Cox and Smith.

Man that must be Japanese to the Chiefs! Maybe they will learn how to put the ball in the basket in 2014!

Any word on the games being "moved up" to accommodate OSU football game watchers Friday night (Logan vs Gallia Academy) ??? can't be moved up too much with Logan being in school on Friday and freshmen starting at 5 pm at the regular start times although I suppose Gallia can get here anytime since they probably are not in school ... Is Logan the only school district having school on Thursday & Friday this week ? ...
