Who cares if they've both played Tuesday and Friday? Both coaches would much rather not play a regular season game right in the middle of the tournament week, i'm sure.

If Saturday is open for both teams, that almost has to be the day.

I don’t know, if Saturday is such the obvious choice I don’t know why they wouldn’t have agreed on it yesterday, that’s what I’m saying..... no agreement was reached yesterday so Saturday must have been an issue. Maybe considering Sunday afternoon to give each team a day rest, I don’t know. I’d say we should have a date very soon.

So if Wheelersburg won’t play Saturday what about Sunday afternoon?
Sunday afternoon may see less attendance but waiting until both teams are done with the tournament could be even worse.

Waverly plays their first tournament game Tuesday. So that won’t happen. I think best bet is Saturday evening. Even if you don’t start JV until 6:30 or 7 to give burg fans enough time to get to the game from Valley. Or Sunday.

I agree, Sectional Championship games are scheduled for 8:30p.m. so no reason this one couldn’t be around then. JV start at 7:00 with 8:30 varsity game.
Probably not many games in the area Saturday night so a lot of people may take it in.
If both teams take care of business Tuesday and Friday this one would be the last league game and for all the marbles.
A great way to prepare for the tourney next week.

Waiting until the tournament starts is dumb. Waverly plays their first tournament game next Tuesday and I believe Wheelersburg plays next Saturday. So if Burg is wanting to squeeze the game in sometime between next Tuesday and Saturday, I think if I'm Waverly I say no and just wait until they both are done with tournaments. If Waverly happens to win their first tournament game they will be playing the same Saturday as Burg plays their first tourney game. If I'm either coach, I don't want to have to be thinking about this game in the middle of tournaments. I would imagine between those four dates offered, one of those could work for both. I don't see being able to come up with an excuse for every one of those dates.

Just got word this game will be this Thursday 13th.
Both play tonight and then this one Thursday before they both play their last league games on the road Friday, at South Webster (Burg) and at Valley (Waverly).
