The Chieftains came away with a win tonight against Licking Heights. Now 2-1 on the season. Back in action next Tuesday against Lancaster.

On a side note the JV won 56-51 . Come back in the 2nd half from a very physical and quick LH JV team. Good Job !!!!!

Next up for the Chiefs; Lancaster. Logan hit a buzzer beater last year to send it to OT where they pulled out a win after being down the whole game. After that next Friday they head to St Charles for a great matchup but a game that the Purple lost last season and then on Saturday they host a very good Vinton County team. Logan will have to be more consistent next week in both halves of basketball but have the talent to win all three games.
St Charles is 3-0 currently
Vinton County is 3-0
Lancaster is 2-2

St. Charles has already beaten DeSales, who is a great team, preseason AP Top 10. Vinton County continues their success from last year. And I think Lancaster's squad is improved from last year. Will be a good test to see where our Chiefs are at.

Compared to the superior athletes of Jackson they are really slow. Maybe they should schedule more games up north to increase their athletic ability.

Logan is slow? Why in the history of the SEOAL... Jackson has never won a Track championship? This is a sport that show about everything. Speed, strength and much more. Even Wellston won a championship.This overall shows the slow ones.

Jury is still out on whether or not Lancaster is a "very good" team. They were terrible in general - not just by D1 standards - the past two years. I know they've picked it up a notch in non-league, but their defense looks to be very weak.

Logan will continue to improve.. If I remember right, they hired their coach late in the year.. This guy can coach, and I like the fact that he plays a lot of younger guys.
