Yep, by 12 boys. I'm pretty sure they will be constantly jumping back and forth for a while, especially once the transfer weighting comes into play in a year or so. That number could really jump soon and that could really help keep them D2.

I made a mistake in telling
93dog that Minford was still D2 this year - looks like the Falcons bounced back to D3 ... sorry about that
93dog !!! ... can't go wrong sitting in the Cheap Seats for either one of these sectionals in the post season !!! some very good teams at both venues who will have to beat some excellent teams to survive and advance ... I'm lovin' it already and it's not even January yet !!!

Would love to see the crosstown rivalry reunited in the sectionals between Cavs and Tanks. Probably wouldn't be a very good game, the regular season game this year will show that. Why don't they play every year? So stupid these teams don't play once a year like they did 02-05.

Athens still has to play Warren, Meigs, Vinton, Marietta, Cirleville, and New Lex from the D2 list. The 2vs7, 3vs6, and 4vs5 games should be close at Logan

Logan Elm might have a tough time making it out of Logan

Unioto vs Vinton Co. District Finals?

Warren's 0-2 mark vs the TVC will hurt at seeding with Athens, VC and Meigs all having votes.
The Warriors looked pretty darn good the other night, but that head-to-head loss to Meigs automatically puts them at least behind the Marauders. Could possibly see a rematch with both teams being the No. 4 and No. 5 ... IF Fairfield Union, Vinton County and Logan Elm are 1-2-3.
You gotta love tournament time. I can't wait to see how this drama plays out - especially since coaches are no longer held accountable by their fellow coaches inside a room.

The Logan Sectional draw reveal is going to be a great time. The only slot that even looks moderately comfortable is the 1 line. The 2/3 seeds will have to beat either Athens or Sheridan to even get a shot at the Sectional title game.
Right now, I'd seed the Logan Sectional:
1- Meigs, unbeaten and knocked off 2 teams in the Sectional. The next week is huge for them.
2- Vinton County
3- Logan Elm
4- Fairfield Union
5- Warren
6- Sheridan
7- Athens
8- Marietta
9- New Lex
Even by this weekend, that could change in a huge way. Fairfield Union @ Logan Elm on Saturday

The Southeastern Sectional is a slight bit more cut and dry, but only at the top. Unioto and Washington will be the 1 and 2, after that is anybody's guess.
Chillicothe is 5-7, but has played an insane schedule so far, so will that be taken into account? They still have games with Washington, Miami Trace, Groveport Madison (7-5), Upper Arlington (10-2), and Wilmington left before the tournament draw.
Right now, how I'd seed the Southeastern Sectional:
1- Unioto
2- Washington
3- Circleville
4- Chillicothe
5- Miami Trace
6- Waverly
7- Hillsboro
8- Gallia Academy
9- McClain
10- Jackson

Not sure any of these higher seeded teams would like to see Marietta come their way. The tigers play a really tough schedule and beat new philly last week.

It really stinks only two advance while in D3 4 advance from each sectional.

Agreed. We just need one more D2 school to get back to 4 advancing, since the East gets 2 now and also has 19 schools.

They set the divisions every 2 years, correct? Shouldn't they alternate the east and SE with them each getting 2 out one of the years?
