Game was not as close as the score indicates. Ironton made a run late in the game, with the Burg starters on the bench.

Does anyone know if the Kochendorfer kid, Ironton played JV, because if he didn't, why is he sitting on the bench and not playing on the varsity? He was at the Burg last year and for some reason left this year for Ironton. I had a feeling he was going to get some PT on the Burg varsity this year.

Kochendorfer is injured. And why do you make it a point to say that "the game wasn't as close as the score" that was a dig if there ever was one. Not very nice. Can't you just take the win and let it be?

It is not a "dig", as you put it, on Ironton. If someone who wasn't at the game, for example, a sportswriter that votes on an AP poll, not that either team will probably crack the poll this year see's that score, they will think it was a closer game then it was. At this point of the year, after two straight losses, Burg is very ahppy with this win, besides i think the guy doing the game on the radio said the same thing, about the game not being as close as the score and how it was very sloppy 2nd half by both teams.

I've seen that statement made on here after many of games. Burg pretty much controlled this game from the start and was up by as many as 18 in the 2nd half.

Thanks for the info, though on Kochendorfer. I hate to hear that because I think he has great potential.

Kochendorfer is a great kid and a good player. He is missed. He is having problems with his foot and I believe he is in a cast.

Amazingly cold shooting from the Tigers for nearly the whole game. Coach LaFon did not make it to the press table for the post-game show, but I remember him saying after the Ashland game that there had been a stomach flu bug going around the school and the team [Nick Lewis was actively vomiting during that game]. Maybe they haven't been able to practice as hard as a result. But shooting under 25% - that's really crummy. We've got a busy weekend coming up - back-to-back games with Chilli and GAHS on Friday and Saturday.
Congrats to the Pirates - esp Spradlin - you all played a great game.
GO TIGERS - FIND A WAY TO GET THE LID OFF THE BASKET BY THEN.

He is a good player....too bad he is injured again. He was out most of last year with a similar or maybe the same injury. Hopefully he gets back later in the year and gets some time. He always gives 110% when he is on the floor.

Too many unnecessary 3-pointer for the Tigers. Why would you attempt a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left in the quarter especially when it was a 25 footer? They need to work the ball inside more. I know they lack in the height department but at least give your center or whoever a chance to draw a foul inside.

I was told Kochendorfer broke his foot.
