Southern Hills League Standings?

Post by Ironman92 »

This is a tough league to track....can we figure out the records for this 10 team league?

Big School

North Adams....7-0 (4-0?)
Ripley...lost to Lynchburg...beat defending state champ Georgetown
Lynchburg....beat Ripley, lost to NA
Eastern Brown...beat Minford, have lost to NA and Peebles in OT
West Union...not sure they have won

Small School

Manchester...beat Whiteoak, Fairfield
Whiteoak....4-3 (3-1) lost to Adena, Ripley and Manchester.....beat Williamsburg, Peebles, Fayetteville and Fairfield

Fayetteville...lost to Whiteoak
Fairfield....beat Paint Valley, East Clinton and Fayetteville I think...lost to NA and Whiteoak...and Manchester? (3-3)

Any help blue82, bud, sparky, d young, bucknut, superdav1?

football

Manchester is the only Southern Hills League team that has football. Some of the other schools including North Adams, Peebles and Manchester had football back in the 1980's. There may have been a couple of other schools. Manchester played their first junior varsity/varsity schedule this past year.

manchester lost to lynchburg clay and fayetteville in the shl. they are currently in first place in the small division but there is still a lot of basketball to be played. the small division is wide open and north adams and ripley are the current leaders in the big division, however, anyone in the shl is capable of beating any of the other teams in the league on a given night. right now north adams only team with a chance for the golden ball with zero losses.

Holiday Tournament

12/27 Manchester 79 Peebles 71
12/27 North Adams 72 West Union 66

12/28 West Union 72 Peebles 66

12/29 North Adams 78 Manchester 60

Regular season

Eastern Brown over Fayetteville

Someone help us out please. I did not count the Holiday Tournament games as league games. Is that the case?

The first game for each team counted as an SHL game, so the Manchester vs. Peebles game with Manchester winning and the North Adams vs. West Union game with North Adams winning counted for each school.

The first set of games were league games. The consolation/championship games were not.

Ugh.. to late :)

the eastern brown vs fayetteville game was part of the brown county tournament. georgetown beat eastern brown in the finals and western brown (d1) beat fayetteville (d4).
