May make a rare in-season road trip, on my way with wife and kids to visit family in Kentucky this weekend.

... as for the game ... Athens wants to run , play a transition game; Zanesville is more than happy to play the game in transition - on the fly, above the rim ... Zanesville will shoot 70% or better in this one ... this one gets ugly fast, and stays ugly ... if the 'ville plays their starters for 3 quarters it will be at 100 points going INTO the 4th quarter of play ... "havoc ball" loses big in this one ... disciplined fundamentals in transition ALWAYS beats undisciplined poor fundamentals - I saw it in Zanesville vs Logan ... you'll see it again in Zanesville vs Athens ... the ONLY time "havoc" ball wins is vs teams with less athletic ability, vs teams with poor fundamentals ... a team that relies on "havoc ball" as their primary mode of play can not compete with a fundamentally solid ball club that may have fewer athletes ... THAT puts the onus on the coaching imo ...

The scoreboard operator is going to get finger cramps in this game, and the scorekeeper for Zanesville had better bring extra pencils for the book.....

We tend to go to the line a lot anyway. This game could take forever, maybe?

As I recall, we won at Zanesville last year by 100-58, subbing freely.
Hey, if the Athens kids are enjoying that style of ball, and play it flat out for 32 minutes like that, then have at it.

I doubt they are enjoying it. Winning is more fun, at least i would think. I would rather win 28-26 than lose 110-108.

GW - You might want to jump all over that one. Oh, wait..............
On second hand, I'm not so sure

Wow, Athens is playing up and down the court. This will get ugly quick. I agree with Zanes. Z-Ville will shot 70% easy with most being layups. I would hate to guess the differential in this game.
Good luck to Athens but unless they picked up some big time players this year, the scoreboard may break.

Zanesville will play a lot of 2nd team boys and it might be in the low 30s for the difference

Did the Zanesville football team sub freely when pouring it on Athens this year?

Yes, it did. But just like it is in basketball, your front-line guys have to get their time in.
You're venturing down a road you'd best not take. Enjoy the TVC.

I can only speak for myself when I say, I will enjoy the TVC. We have not won any championships for awhile in boys basketball or football but we will leave the league with the most championships in boys'basketball. A number Zanesville will never catch, no offense..

The TVC will be a great move for Athens. I know a lot of older folks don't like it but it will be more competitive and they will draw a lot better crowds. The TVC and Athens will be a good fit.

Goal No. 1 for Zanesville basketball -- state championships.
