... one of the monster games of the early part of the 08 portion of the season ... two good teams - this will tell us more about the Pointers imo ... I've seen Fairland - a quality ball club for Coach Belville ... South Point looking to stay in the top 8 with a big win at Fairland ...

As bad as I hate to say it I think the Dragons will win this one.

I like the Pointers in this one. Everyone talks about Lamb being the best player in the OVC, I think the best play actually plays for the pointers. Mayo will cause matchup problems for the Dragons, Lamb nor Hatfield will be able to guard him one on one. I wouldn't be surprised to see them box and one him. Weed and Cole should also present a good match up, the thing SP should be able to do is take care of the basketball against the Dragons pressure D. SP will have to match Fairland down in the post, which could present a problem for SP.

SP 55
Fairland 51

Sounds like this could be a big game. Fairland might be the place to be this Friday. Hopefully the Pointers can get the win!

I say the dragons win by 10 if they play like they can. If they play sloppy it is anybodies game. The dragons have to many weapons and bodies they can run out against the pointers. It should be a packed gym for this one but you never know about the fair weather fans of Fairland.

Fairland had pretty good fan support at the RH game @ the Hill.

Red I think the thing that is most disturbing is the lack of student support.I mean my god these guys are 9-0 and we dont have more than 20 students at any game.Maybe we need to sale $1 tickets or something.I dont know just an idea.

Earp the Kids that do come are very supportive and are at every home and away game but I'm like you their should be more support for this group. The team plays better when we have an energetic crowd. Hopefully Fergi can get the kids fired up for this huge clash but more important is their going to be a Killer and Earp sighting.

If Fairland works the game inside I don't think SP can handle Lamb and Bumgardner. We will see how good Mayo is or can be because Hatfield, and the rest of Fairland for that matter, plays good D. Fairland playing at home should win by 10+ points.

Fairland is a very good rebounding team. Pointers better be ready to hit the boards or GAME OVER.

The dragons should win this. The strong bench they have, it should be no problem. The dragons have what is really called a good "team". Good luck to both teams for an injury free game!!

I wonder if the 6-4 Italian exchange student from SP who recently enrolled will be playing for the Pointers tonight? ;-) Anyway it should be a great game. I really would like to see if the Dragons have the great student sections like they used to have or if the Pointers will win the student section category. See you there !
