I'll skip 1st two games and go to the Newark game .

I believe it won't be as close as most people think having seen the Cat's play they we'll have too slow it down in order to keep it close.Avery is there best player hands down but i believe the Cav's defense shut him down.Your team speed will be too much.Newark is a well coached team but i like the Cav's by 15 Good luck.......

those three games are just like steps

Gallia--just about 6-inches off the ground

Marietta--another 6-inches with no problem

Newark--you find yourself 18-inches off the gound and no problem getting up on the porch.

even if you hit your toe on that bump in the walk on 01/04

2 easy wins, but I think the travel will be a big part to the Newark game.

They play at Marietta, then play at 3, in Columbus. That's a lot of time on a bus, but it may affect the Cavs for the 1st quarter, but I see them winning that ballgame by 11.

Didn't Newark beat Canal by 30? I think this will be a close game.

Go Cavs!

Chilli/ 3 games

Post by tropicalbreeze »

I've seen both teams, this will be a good game. Nerk has played pretty well as of late. Have good size and athletism. This should be a game the Cav's can gauage themselves, and tell what area's need addressed. Excited to see this game!

Lay low and REFUSE TO LOSE!!! I am not worried about the rankings.

However:

There is a good chance Canal will lose to Withrow Sat. If they do and the Cavs were to win, they would probably move up a few (assuming they win Tues/Fri). That would make us a nice 10-1 with a lose to a strong Brookhaven team.

GO CAVS!!!

How about let's talk about the Cavs next three games that will be a real test for them. Newark/Dunbar/Z-ville all in the next three weeks. I really think they could lose at least two of them.I hope that I am wrong. These Cavs have just not faced any adversity except from Brookhaven and they Lost./ I want to see them get a test, face some adversity where the Players have got to go hard the whole game and the coaching staff are forced to make some key adjustments to keep ther hopes alive. then I think we will be able to tell how good this team really is.

Zanesville didn't have much of a problem with Newark and I don't see Chillicothe having one either.

O.R. prep....I disagree on not facing "any adversity". The Cavs did get behind against North College Hill and could have wilted. Last year at this time, they would have. I do agree that they could lose a few of these games, but if we play defense they way we have been, then I feel good. I believe the key will be how the refs call the game. In the Logan game, everything was called. Tonight, I felt the refs were inconsistent both ways.

GO CAVS!!!

Cav fans from SEOPS, please stop by the scorers table any time tonight and inroduce yourselves. Jottings will be sitting close by me, and I am on the GAHS book.

gahs4ever/jottings: Forgive my poor manors for not coming over. I walked in late from work and stumbled across an excellent JV game. No excuse for poor hospitality from this Cavalier. I hope the salad bar at Frisch's was good. I encountered indigestion from the coney dog I wolfed down right before the game.

GO CAVS!!!

That was a classic call. I liked his imitation of Hump's move. We were actually taught "way back when", that when someone is on your back, go strong with the ball in your chest and invite them into your back. If this same thing happened while dribbling and you back up and get ran over, it is a defensive call.

To the credit of one of the refs, he called something I hardly ever see twice. Players running out of bounds cutting through the lane. He called it on the Cavs and on Gallia. Not sure about the rest of the inconsistent calls (both ways), but again the game was out of hand. However, I am always there to help the officials understand the "rules of the game".

GO CAVS!!!
