When Patrick Angle is held without a field goal, the Chiefs are going to have trouble.
Combine that with he and Wright totalling 7 points between them and it's big trouble.
Great games by Zach Adams and Jeff Dietz on the inside. Great effort by everyone on the purple side, but cold shooting was too much to overcome, especially that 4 and a half minute stretch to start the second half.
Overall a disapointing game vs an opponent Logan SHOULD have beaten.
Time for the purple to get back to work for 4 key league games.
Go Chiefs!

... a disappointing loss tonight to a 2-13 Lancaster team that was a "shell" of the Lancaster teams that we are accustom to seeing come into the Katie ... when was the last time that Lancaster started 3 players under 6-0 tall? when was the last time that a Lancaster team had literally NO offensive threat? when was the last time Lancaster had such poor perimeter people? ... I know I can't remember a worse Lancaster team than I saw on the floor tonight vs Logan ......... and yet the Purple was unable to capitalize .... "just like football" Lancaster beats Logan tonight ...Lancaster 58 Logan 49 a final ...
Lancaster Napkin Stats ...
Scoring ... Clayton Black 19/Cory Camarata 15/Eli Thompson 10/Jeff Sarensen 8/Steve Bridgeman 4/Nick Blanton 2 ...
3 Pointers ... 4/14 ... Camarata 3/Black 1...
FT's ... 10/12
TO's ... only 9 ... ineffective Logan pressure
... Lancaster's only threat was with the big man Clayton Black (19 pts) - he was effective for a short stretch of the 3rd period when the Gales jumped out to a 10 point lead behind the big mans 11 points while holding Logan to no fgs in the first 4 minutes of the 3rd ... the Gales handled all of the Logan pressure - only 9 turnovers by Lancaster on the game ... some how the Gales perimeter people could guard the Purple perimeter people holding Angle to NO fgs (2 points), Wright to 2 fgs(5 points), Mays ZERO points ... must have been the mirrors - Jeff Sarensen outscored the 3 Logan big guns tonight 8-7 ... mirrors ... Logan's bench outscored the Lancaster bench 18-6 ... Zach Adams played even with the 6-7 Black 17-19 for the game ... more mirrors ... OCC style of playing half court basketball wins over the 80+ shots per game havoc ball - must be the mirrors cause I didn't see either - 80+ shots or havoc ... darn mirrors ... Lancaster has run the same flex offense since the beginning of time ... they have run it so well this year to the tune of now a 3-13 record ... mirrors again ...
Logan Napkin Stats ...
Scoring ... Zach Adams 17/Jeff Dietz 8/Matt Poindexter 7/Wright,Chase Colliton, Seth Morrtiz 5 each/Patrick Angle 2
3 Pointers ... 4/21 ... Wright/Poindexter/Colliton/Morritz all with 1 ...
FT's ... 5/10
TO's ... only 11 ... shows you again no pressure put on by the Lancaster boyz ...
... great work by the boyz in the paint Zach Adams/Jeff Dietz/Matt Poindexter - finished at the rim and did a nice job of seeing each other down low ... MORE touches down low would have made some of those possessions more meaningful tonight ... 80+ shots is a nice goal but what happens when you play a team that just wants to walk the ball up the court, your defensive pressure in the full court /half court isn't working??? still have to be able to play a half court game ... still have to be disciplined - for 3 quarters last night vs Ironton, 4 quarters tonight vs Lancaster - nada ... Marietta comes calling Tuesday, then on the road to Gallia Academy Friday before wrapping up the regular season at Warren ... the OCC/Central District Sectional draw is tomorrow - IF we lost to a team that is 3-13 in OCC play how does that bode for the Purple vs .................. it's the mirrors ...
