Wouldn't it be great if the TVC could hold an Ohio vs Hocking Division Challenge? Play all the games on a Saturday on a neutral floor, like Athens High School.

Wellston vs. Miller
Nelsonville-York vs. Trimble
Meigs vs. Eastern
Alexander vs. Southern
Belpre vs. Waterford
Vinton County vs. Federal Hocking

I think it would be great. The VC/FH game to finish the night off would draw a big crowd IMO. Plus, it would end all discussion about which division is better each year.

It's a good idea in theory. Especially since starting next year, the TVC Ohio schools no longer have to play so many Hocking schools as non-league games. There is nothing that really unites the divisions anymore, as they operate more like separate conferences than divisions within a conference.

One problem with that setup is starting next year, the Ohio Division will have one more school than the Hocking Division with the addition of Athens. So you couldn't matchup Ohio vs. Hocking top to bottom because the Ohio has one more team. I suspect in a few years, the Ohio will have an additional team as well. Although in that case, maybe the bottom two Ohio schools could play each other instead of a Hocking school, so that way, every school could participate.

If both divisions had the same number of teams, it would be easy to set up. Every school would schedule 19 games and then the 20th game would be the "Day of Champions" game like the SEOAL has. Ohio #1 vs. Hocking #1, Ohio #2 vs. Hocking #2, etc.

One major obstacle I see with that is the fact that some Ohio schools do not want to play Hocking schools. I think some of the Ohio schools have been pushing to drop the rule that you have to play so many Hocking schools as non-league games as a requirement, so I'm not sure if all the Ohio schools would be on board with this or not. It would be only one game after all.

Alexander was scheduled to play Crooksville on Saturday and none of us from the MVL can find a score. Anyone have it?
