Since Vinton Co's Dustin Guthrie has the POY award already sitting on his dresser, what will the rest of the All TVC Ohio team look like this year?

It will be interesting this year. I know the voters like to spread the "love" and get as many teams recognized as possible. VC will have Guthrie, Stewart I would assume for sure on the 1st team. Prater also recived all TVC honors last year. I wouldnt be surprised to see all 5 of VC's starters on the 1st or 2nd team.

might add chris goode to meigs' contribution. he has played an excellent center without much help on the inside.

This is very interesting. I can only think of 2 or 3 players in the entire league that would crack VC's top 8 or 9. Just my opinion but I think VC would beat a TVC Ohio allstar team by 10+.

It's really unfortunate that the TVC has butchered the way they do All League Selection. To put a limit on how many players each team can get is really unfair. Afterall, some years a team might deserve 5 and some years a team might only deserve 1, so to establish a quota is shortsighted and unfair to the kids. I don't know one coach in the TVC who is for the current way this is done. In fact, complaints have been made, and alternative suggestions have been offered to the AD's but they have refused to consider any changes. Therefore, this year, like every year, some very deserving kids will be left off the all league team.

yes Vinton dominated the TVC this year...but i think that might be a stretch...I can think of 4 from Belpre alone (Loyland, Lynch, Sims, and Tate).
How many players are awarded all-TVC honors?
If its 12 (like some have listed) then I say its gotta go...
Guthrie, VC (obviously, POY as well)
Eberts, VC
Prater, VC
Stewart, VC
Loyland, Belpre
Lynch, Belpre
Tate, Belpre
Barnhouse, Alex
Frost, Alex
C. Bolin, Meigs
Barrick, NY
Matteson, Wellston (dont really know, just agreeing with everyone else)

Im not tring to get in a pissing match, but if this was the case the games between these 2 would have been much closer. If you take anyone from VC's top 8 (Dut Guthrie, Grillo, Stewart, Eberts, Beaty, Allen, Prater and Dyl Guthrie) they would not only start for any team in the TVC Ohio but probably be the go to guy. The bottom line is the rules for the TVC all conference team should be changed.

Dustin Guthrie is the only player on Vinton Countys team who would be the go-to guy at Belpre. Ryan Stewart and Andrew Eberts are known for 3 point shooting, but IMO Eric Lynch is a better shooter than both of them. Prater is a lot like Sims in the way they play. Grillo could actually help belpre out a lot as belpre does not have a true point guard. Allen is like Loyland, but i think Loyland is better, hes only about 50 percent right now. Dylan Guthrie would not start at belpre. Ben Batey is a lot like Tyler Watkins, but Batey plays more physical and plays better D, but is not a threat offensively. To say that all 8 of those guys would be the go-to-guy at belpre is absurd.

So acording to you Belpre is better at all positions other than Dustin Guthrie's. I love your logic. Again if this was the case I think the games between these 2 would have been a little closer. LOL
Ill leave you with this.
@ Belpre VC 61 Belpre 50
@ VC VC 67 Belpre 43
you are right Belpre is the better team if Guthrie didnt play.
