Warren led 44-42 with 4 minutes to go, then went on a 17-5 run to end the Trojans' hopes. Nate Cadogen fouled out with 3 minutes remaining which really hurt Portsmouth.
Portsmouth is coming off its best performance of the season with a convincing 69-51 win at Ironton. The Trojans were missing 2 starters, Anthony Williams and Cory Reeves, but Corey Allison(19 points) and Zack Link stepped up big for PHS. At one point Portsmouth had a 24 point lead.
Portsmouth's backcourt of sophomore Forrest Johnson and freshman Andrew Bendolph continues to improve with each game. They combined for 40 points vs. Chillicothe(2nd game), and last night had 33 combined vs. Ironton.
Williams will be back for the Warren game, but Reeves is still doubtful. Look for Allison to get his second straight start.
Hopefully the Trojans can play at that level Saturday and into tournament play starting on Tuesday.
GO TROJANS!!!

thanks big...should be a good game...portsmouth got into a little foul trouble last game so it will be interesting to see the outcome if they can stay out of foul trouble...

If Portsmouth plays like they did against Ironton, then I think they have a really good shot to win this one.

larry, i respect that but i am not into jv anymore, just boring to me, way past that , im getting old and just like sitting thru one game that means something. Jv is just a building block for varsity and most schools dont try or care to win jv contests.
