With passionate fans on both sides and some recent controvesial endings in the past....both teams always thought that they got hosed evey time that they lost to the other....that caused the teams to quit playing....whats everyones thoughts on this game??? My take is if SG isn't fighting injuries or each other they might do well in the tourney if not ISJ will put them out after one game!!! But good luck to both!!!

I wouldn't try to predict a score but I think SG wins this by as many as they want. They are just too strong of a team for SJ.
Last season SG beat SJ twice and advanced to the district tournament. SG returns basically everyone from that team while SJ loses 4 of their top 6 players from last year's team. SG should start scouting Notre Dame as they will likely see them in the next round.

If it was in mercerville I'd say SG by 10

I am confused. SG would win by 20+ at a neutral location but would only win by 10 at home? I don't get that.
I hear that SG is completely healthy and if so, they will cause too many matchup problems for SJ.

Lets just say South Gallia don't have refs like some of the other schools
But enough with that, lets talk about the game at hand

I've seen both teams play...ISJ has their usual hard playing, scrappy team that usually causes SG fits....which SG shows up??? the one that started 7-1 or the one that is 3-8 in their last 11 games...losing to teams that they blew out earlier in the year!!! I dont see either team blowing the other out...should be a hard played, good game from both sides!!!

SJ is scrappy and will play hard but they just aren't as talented as SG. Hopefully next year will be SJ's year.

You may be trying to sale ISJ not being very good a little bit to hard. I don't think most teams pay any attention to what is said on here. I would say every team playing in the tournaments has scouted the team they are playing at least a couple of times.

I am not trying to sale anything. I remember reading on here last year about this time how good SG was and they delivered by winning a sectional title. This year's SG team is pretty much the same as last year's team so I would see them as a favorite to reach the district final.
I am sure that SG has scouted SJ a time or two and won't rely on what they read on this site. Not trying to sale anything, just getting involved in the discussion.

... is South Gallia going to be at full strength ??? IF SG is at full strength, everyone healthy ... take SG +10 ... IF SG is shorthanded as they have been the last 2 weeks it will be a toss up game imo ...

Lets hope they stay that way up to tournament time, I know how an ankle sprain can be a real constant pest.

This game depends on which of these 2 teams show up?
S.Gallia healthy? The St. Joe team that beat Wellston? or the St. Joe team that lost to New Boston by 40 some?
It may be end up being a good game!

St.Joe lost to New Boston by 2 late in the season, the first game means nothing now. I am glad to know that ISJ has no chance according to SG fans but that's why they play the game. I know this ISJ will show up and scrap till the very end.
