The Eagles will be headed to the other side of the county to play Western on Friday night. At stake is at least a share of the SOC championship! I say the Eagles will be ready to go and win by 15.
Any thoughts?

As an Indian fan wish I could disagree, but Eastern is just too skilled. I hope we can at least make it a competitive game, since it is our Senior Night. Would love to see Knauff have a big game for his final night on the home court. Good Luck Indians!

This season has been an interesting year for the Indians. As expected after last year, the team has taken its fair share of lumps. But lets be honest, we were out of most games last year in the 1st quarter. The team was scoring in the 20's and continuing to press and run around where teams had no choice but to beat them by 30 and 40 points a game. To say the program was headed in the wrong direction would be an understatement. I have to believe the Indian team will continue to improve as the team gets stronger and healthier. Indian fans, just don't expect to much to soon. Remember, the 8th graders last year lost a few games in Jr.High and you are playing a couple in the starting lineup and others off the bench. To expect these kids to come in and win varsity games to expecting a little too much. Stay positive and work the younger kids from 3rd grade thru 8th and you will reap the rewards.
There always chance, if you not give up.

5 wins no returning varsity starters 0 wins 1 returning varsity starter a junior Knauff 2 sophmore first year varsity,2 junior first year varsity, 2 wins 5 returning varsity players 3 starters returned. Comments about last year and the direction of the team is silly . At a small school like our it starts at bitty ball and moves up talent comes in waves when your an isolated school like we are . Other d-4 programs have some transfers and move ins from time to time we don't out here so we need to build and work at developing our kids if we're going to compeat on a regular basis. With out skilled players it's hard for any coach even a 600 win one to have success . We have to start with the kids when they are young not at JR high. If the school will do this it not only strengthens our program but keeps kid busy and out of trouble.

Agree Lightle04...There aren't enough schools that put enough emphasis on basketball for the young kids. Basketball at the pee wee or biddy ball level should 100% be a building block for the future and treated as such. Basics, fundamentals and general knowledge of the game should be the one and only focus, sadly this is rarely the case.

Praying for a miraculous upset, but just dont see it happening LOL. But it would be great for Knauff to have a big game, he's a good player and great kid.

Eastern wins going away with it tonight, and what do we do? We let them celebrate their SOC championship by cutting down our nets. I respect all the teams we play, but this is our biggest rivalry, and always has been. This is exactly what's wrong with out system out here we have become soft. I hope the returning players take this as motivation for next year, and work really hard this offseason, so that this don't happen again. We used to have pride within the Indian Nation. I think it's about time we get it back!

I dont think I have ever heard of the visiting team cutting down the nets for a league championship (tie)? and on Senior night? I wonder what Coach Jordan and his coaching staff thought about this or did they even know it was going on?

Ha could have been done what Zane Trace did and have the sheriffs escort the players of Piketon off the court not allowing any celebration for a co svc championship or team prayer after the game.

Coach Jordan didn't know, but he took a pic and I am sure this will b bulletin board material for the next year. Decision was made by our AD.

Congratulations Eastern on your co-championship!
Western...........I don't think I have ever heard of this taking place either. However, hats off to Western for allowing this to happen and let them have their celebration. Western and their fans are the winner here............great sportsmanship!

Congrats to the Eagles on winning a share of the title. My hat goes off to the Western AD, team and community for showing such sportsmanship.

OK, Eastern beats us by 30 points, Eastern bench players not what I would say overplayed and we let them cut down the nets for winning a CO-SOC Championship. Are you kidding me? No way this should happen. And sportsmanship has nothing to do with it. If I was Eastern, I would have never asked. I think one should respect anothers gym enough not to even consider and Western should have enough pride not to let that happen. I promise you, no one asked Coach Jordan and no one ever cut down Southeastern's nets for an CO-SVC championship.
