Did they have any common opponents besides South Point? I know it doesn't matter but was just wondering....

Not sure about common opponents...... and I know there's a hugh difference between pre and post season but preseason scrimmage sure looked to be Fairland advantage

I'd say from whatching both teams today that Ironton is a little better. I think Ironton is more prepared for the tournament because of the tough schedule they play in the SEOAL. Time will tell though....

As long as they continue to play their game, theigers will play well and move forward in the tourney. Represent the SEOAL well and get to the Regionals.

GO CAVS!!!

GO TIGERS!!
Not sure a lot of "fans" thought they would get this far. But these kids want it and they want it bad. No doubt they will win on Saturday against the Dragons.
Good luck Tigers...love you guys!!!

If Fairland wins, it will not be an upset. They are the higher seed, if I see correctly at ohsaa.org I really like Fairlan's team. I watched them play 4 or 5 games this year and I really thought they underachieved in the OVC. With the exception of Hoban, they should have ran the regular season table this season. If Ironton shoots well again and can limit Fairland's second chances, they will have a shot at the upset here.

The Tigers will have to keep Fairland's two big men contained or it will be a long evening.

Feel free to stay home and listen to it on the radio :-D :-D . How about a little bit of Go Tigers? Never underestimate LaFon and those boys. Fairland has a couple of "men" they had better contain also, or it will be a long evening for them.

I like the Tigers in this one. Marc Carter will get the Dragon guards in foul trouble if they don't sit down and play solid on D. I thought NA would give Ironton more toruble because they are more of a ball control offense who run a lot of sets. Both teams are very athletic, but I see the overall strength and physicality of the Tigers being main factor. Lamb is a matchup problem for just about any team, but he will have to knock down shots because he won't be able to just post up smaller defenders. Both teams are well coached, but Lafon has been much more battle tested than Belville.

Ironton 59
Fiarland 50

I am absolutely cheering for the DRAGONS to win this game!!! I will always cheer on the OVC teams come tournament time! So goodluck to the Fairland Dragons...I hope you get the win in this game! It should be a really good and exciting game...sounds like either team could win this one.

I have a challenge for our fans!Get off of youre butts and do something and dont just sit there! We had players as well as coaches and even myself a couple of times trying to get the crowd in the game.My god people is everybody that tired?I dont care if this makes some people mad,Build a bridge and get over it.I would compare our crowd to what the atmosphere would be at a croquet match. Why even go to the game if youre just going to set there?Student support was alright but they didnt really make much noise. You know everyone claims to be there for the kids so show some support for these kids at dont make them beg you to cheer for them.Come on student body as well these guys need you right now. ;-)

I don't think this game will be close from watching both games yesterday. Fairland did not impress me at all. Ironton has way too much ability for Fairland to stop. Ironton will win this by 15 points at least.
