Thoughts?

Anybody know anything about Garaway besides the fact that they are ranked #3 in state?? Record? Players? Etc...

Ya I know a little.Saw them play in the state title game in 2003 and they lost to Cincinnati Reading by I think 4 points?They are a far different team nowadays.Talked to one of the Fairland coaches last night and he said they are very similar to Ironton.Back in 03 they liked to control tempo and play the game in the middle to low 40s but like I said a far different team than 2003.That team had first team all stater Tyler Renner on it.I do know they are very well coached and will not beat themselves though.Dragons will probably need the "A" game to win this one.

Sugarcreek by about 8, close throughout but Garaway will pull away late.

Garaway is led by Tyler Gerber, a senior guard who sets up everything for his team. He is a very good shooter and a real student of the game. Garaway is well coached, disciplined on offense and defense. They have a 6'7" freshman center who by all accounts is going to be one of the best ever at Garaway.

This is a team that Fairland cannot afford to get behind by very much. I think the Dragons will have an advantage on inside strength and could win this game.

what kind of depth does sugarcreek have though? fairland has a nice ball club with several players that can be subed in at anytime to give the studs a quick blow. I'll be pulling for fairland in this one

Haven't seen Garaway play but they are no stranger to doing well in the postseason. Fairland just needs to continue doing what they've been doing thus far.....and don't beat themselves.

One thing they need to avoid is missing 8 straight free throws like they did vs. Ironton.......that kept the Tigers in the game.

I'll be there to watch both games Wednesday.

The dragons will have to play a very good game to advance to the final and I think they will. The key will be how good we play D. They have a very quick guard but so do we and I think we have an advantage inside. Dustin will have to stay out of foul trouble. They also have a kid who can shoot the 3 so we will have to stay on him. We also need everybody we can get to cheer for us. I don't think we will have a big crowd so we will need everyone who can stand to wear green to help us cheer the dragons on to victory. I say the dragons by 5. GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
