Boys Regional Semi Finals: Chillicothe vs. Vinton County

chilli played about as bad as ive seen them the past 3 yrs. i look for chilli to come and flatout press the vikings from start to finish. last year chilli didnt press the 1st half and trailed after 2 qtrs. once the press was initiated, game was basically over. from what i saw the 1st half tonight the vikings struggle with ballhandling. im going with chilli by 20

i agree with bronc...vc is an ok team but i really dont think their guards can handle the pressure chilli is going to put on them and guthrie isnt going to be pushing around scrawny little post players and will have much trouble with chambers...il take chilli in an easy game...

If VC is a OK team what does that make wellston a piece of crap? This will be great game Chilli has to be the favorite but these are the two teams that everyone has wanted to see play. Good luck to both teams.

I look for it to be a little closer, probably 5-10, but a Chilli win. I said in the other thread about the last game that was for the regional in my opinion. Chilli should then torch the eastern winner.

Sorry Army I just cant figure out his logic for saying we are ok. We are 22-1 I think we are better than OK.People on here have complained about are strength of schedule but we keep on winning. I say heck with them all, but I do agree that Chilli is the team to beat they have the total package.

The absolute worst thing about this coming game...Chillicothe is the favorite, no doubt. Vinton County has trouble with on-ball pressure sometimes, yes. However, the Vikings are physical. But the worst thing.....
is putting up with 5 plus days of Army's stupid posts.
May God have mercy on us.

vc simply doesnt have the guard play to win this game........ Do the refs at the convo know the rules of traveling?

very mature niner...way to take a jab at a team full of sophomores in a rebuilding year...you probably knock people out of wheelchairs when your not on the forum.....vc is a decent team....i give them credit for what they have done so far but they are not on the same level as chilli imo...southeastern ohio basketball has been down lately with the exception of a couple powerhouse teams...i made valid points and i wasnt trying to put down vc...theyve had a good year...but theyre not really complete and chillicothe will exploit them...thats all i was saying

i dont really see how you can compare greenfields pressure and chillicothe's, Chillicothe is a lot faster and athletic than greenfield.

Vikes need to step up and play four quarters of good ball.
Last week it was three good, one poor...last night it was half and half...
However, they were able to pull the W and that is all that counts.
I'm pulling for them to even the score from last year's district semis...should be a good time in Athens next week.

Same as last game guys.
Play smart basketball listen to Coach Combs and allow the game to come to you.
This will be tuff.
Who ever wins this divisions' state championship will have to beat Chilli!
Must play a complete game and hit foul shots.
LE only played six vs Chilli, the Vikes will play 7. Chilli looked comfortable being 8 deep. The defense of Caleb Knight (I think # 14) on the Congrove kid was key to the Cavs comeback, along with the press.
No matter what Vikes are distrct champs for first time; wow all the history this group of seniors has created for VC basketball! Thank you seniors and Coach Combs!

I am having a problem with the teams that vc played 2 get here
Dont get me wrong vc won and advanced because they r a good team
But if vc had last years team this year they would have blown these past three teams out
And i think that any vc fan can agree with me on that
