Re: Warren at Marietta 2/14
... not sure there is a more difficult gym to pick up a "W" in than Sutton Gymnasium for a visiting ball club ... Coach Secrest has been hiding his Tigers up Rt 77 in that ECOL league all season ... trying to sneak up on the rest of SEOhio teams in the sectional and beyond ... Tigers have had a couple of "down" stretches where they weren't playing much TEAM ball but seem to have righted the ship with a couple of wins in a row ... should be a good game at MHS Tuesday night! any margin of victory is a "GOOD" win when traveling to Sutton imo ...

Sutton gym is going to be nuts on Tuesday. Get there early before it reaches capacity.

Great win for the boys to get ready for Chilli, just looked and Chilli barely got by Ironton tonight so Friday night should make for some great b-ball for sure. Would be a good one for pfloyd to attend and maybe see a reese cup on the hat again, haha.

Re: Warren at Marietta 2/14
This was a very needed win to keep the momentum going into this Friday's contest with Chillicothe. French had at least 5 3-pointers, not counting the old fashioned type. Chilli beat Ironton tonite, so we need to be up for Friday. !!!!!bigbluedad wrote:Great win for the boys to get ready for Chilli, just looked and Chilli barely got by Ironton tonight so Friday night should make for some great b-ball for sure. Re: Warren at Marietta 2/14
Typical Marietta vs Warren rivalry game. Senior night at Sutton Gym honoring basketball, swiming, and indor track. Among them was a very special Senior cheerleader. A standing ovation by both sides was given to Taylor Morrison. Morrison is batteling Hodgekin s disease. Both varsity and Jv Teams from Warren wore floescent yellow shoestrings to support the Marietta senior.
The game was nip tuck the majority of the game. Eli Lenningtion hitting three after three to keep Marietta in the game. Windland and Knost were sent to the pine for their aggressive defensive efforts as well as Mariettas Grosel and Riley, in the third quarter. Warrens Evan French, Patton, Hastie and Windland posted double figures to hand Marietta their loss.
