Hawkeye....you wrote a piece that frankly brought back alot of memories and touched alot of emotions. Thanks for putting into words what all the Viking Nation feels about Coach Royster. Enjoy the retirement John and thanks for your influence on my kids lives.

Vikefan, I am very proud of the article, it is one of my better ones. Thank you! I really do appreciate the nice comments and I am sure that John does too.

I'm glad that John Royster got publicity for the hard work and success he's had making VC one of the better basketball programs in Southeastern Ohio. He'll definitely be missed in the coming years.

As far as the article, it was decent. :)

Thanks, Ty. You provide decent customer service too.

No Gilligan, he is done like the article said. He has no desire to be a Varsity coach. However, I would not be surprise that three or four years from now that he is back at the junior high teaching the game. And what an asset that would be for the Vinton County Basketball Program.

Good point CJ. I heard he might be one of the new bench coaches with Jim Derrow at Wellston.

Hawkeye, honestly I thought the article that was written in the newspaper was great. The author did a really good job describing how great Royster did with the Vinton County program. My only complainant is that the editor placed a picture of a "scary monster" next to the author's name. After I got past the picture, the article rocked!

I know you were just messin' with me and I was just messin' with you. But you are right what in the hell was I thinking when that picture was taken? Man that is bad.

For a mug shot, that is a darn good picture! :aaaaa129
The photographer at Lucasville has came a long way! :aaaaa21

He kinda looks like that guy who hangs out at the scorers table at the Convo and just sort of does nothing. Coincidence? :aaaaa46

It is great to see that someone within the community finally receives some credit. Thank-you Hawkeye. I now forgive you for shutting down my last identity.

It's too bad that Coach Royster was never given the opportunity to take over the big boys. I have heard that there might be an opening at Ross SE.

Can you say "Coaching Shake-Up"?

SW...sorry, FWT I am not that powerful.

Again, Royster has no desire to be a head varsity coach.

Yes, but not because of you.
