The Bulldogs have improved tremendously since the last meeting of the two but do the Bulldogs really have what it takes to take down the mighty Vinton County Vikings?

Lutz will have to play his game, but he is going to need a lot of help from the other players if they want to win this game!

Didn't think Athens would win in overtime without Lutz, Cozart, and Dicklemen.

There have been some huge games in VC's gym over the years. With that said, it has never, ever been that loud and deafening in that gym as it was last night. What an electric atmosphere. I hate that the game came down to calls by officials and the fact that Lutz got hurt. I was standing by entrance to the trainers room when they helped him off the floor. It didn't look good. Hopefully it's not as bad as it seemed and he can make it back for the tournament.

Just had to jab the officials didn't you? Game did not come down to them, it came down to wasted possessions somewhere in the course of the game, or a blown assignment somewhere, not the officials. But if it makes you feel better, blame away.
I'm so glad our fan base stays away from such petty BS

Hopefully Lutz is ok. Vinton trainers said dislocated but Athens people said a sprain. Saltzman was unstoppable after Lutz came out. Almost forget how good of a shooter he is

last I was told about Griffin was a dislocated and fractured foot. Dr said it was a very uncommon injury they will find out tomorrow if he needs to have surgery. If not he has to be in a non weight barring cast for six weeks and then therapy.

Not sure if you were at the game but the charge and technical against Bartoe were both very bad calls that did help change the outcome of the game so you call it how you see fit...if you were there then shame on you for not admitting the technical foul was the real petty BS as you say.
Have a good day sir!

At best even if a bad sprain he couldn't play for a month. Impossible to replace a talent like Lutz but I'm sure Saltzman's leadership will make the freshman and sophomores step up. Also be the perfect time to bring up 6'3 freshman Hines. Hines has to average 23 points and 15 boards on JV

Unfortunately, the season for Griffin Lutz is over. I have no doubt that he will come back better than ever and on a mission next year.
