Minford 08-09

Post by TrojanXplosion »

I know it is very early but I figured I would get something started on this. I think the Falcons will be very tough next year. With Wheelersburg being down, I look for Oak Hill and Minford to battle for the SOC crown. Time will tell though........

With Evan Price and Sean Smith returning, Minford's guard play shuld b tough. Post play I dont know much about. Hugh Brisker maybe? Im sure Copley will get them ready for the season.

Hopefully the falcons will be able to go far this season.I think that they've got a good chance at it with the talent that they are bringing back.

^^^^^^^^
The Falcons will be better than 10-10. The only problem I see with this team is lack of height. But, that has been a problem that has plagued the basketball teams as of late. I still think Minford will finish second in the SOC this year behind Oak Hill.

Minford will def. be better than 10-10.....at least 14 wins. plus, a trip to the convo....i just don't see this group winning the SOC.

The Oak Hill Oaks have a lock on the SOC next year. The fight is for second place.

Nobody has a lock on the SOC next year. Until Oak Hill comes into Wheelersburg and knocks off the burg at home, then they can have the SOC. Maybe they should win a title before you start giving them a lock and key? Minford should be good next year, Smith is one of the better returning gaurds in the league, maybe the best. I think they will finish 3rd in the league, behind burg and oak hill.

I think that next year will be a reloading year for the falcons squad. They will be losing some talent, but they also will be retaining and gaining some talent.Who knows what will happen in the SOC during this upcoming season! :122245

Burg is going to be down this year. Compared to most Burg teams.

don't be surprised if they beat minford twice either......just cause the talent is gone, doesn't mean the legend at the helm is leaving.year in and out, Barrick always finds a way to win.

yes you are right...Barrick is a top notch coach and always finds a way to pull off the upsets...i find burg to be a shocker in the soc and pull off some key victories to keep them in the soc chase...also having lang lead the way at point gaurd, best in the conference, they will be very tuff to beat...also with stegman down low

I think Oak Hill will be tough, but I also like Minford and Burg to compete for the SOC title, Minford has some good talent returning and not to mention some good well rounded JV players who I am sure will move up to varsity and contribute right away. Burgs soon to be 8th grade boys that will be freshman after next year will bring some talent for Burg into the high school level for the coming years, also Valley will have good group of Freshman coming up that could help there ball club as well

I think Minford will have an outstanding team this year. Minford did lose good talent but are bringing it right back with Evan Price,Sean Smith,Hugh Brisker and Caleb Cowgill from burg is now at minford. He will be a big asset i think. Ive also heard rumors of Blake Hull being back in the gym. That would help to give minford the much needed height. With Brisker and Hull both standing at nearly 6'5"
