The Athens Bulldogs and Marietta Tigers square off Tuesday night inside McAfee Gymnasium in a cage match for sectional prowess on 970 WATH and 97.1 FM Athens.

With both teams in the middle of the D2 Logan sectional pack, a win here could be a big determinant of the sectional bracket that is released on Sunday.

The Tigers claimed the season's first meeting 62-47. Athens comes into the matchup riding a three game winning streak.

This is about as big as it gets - outside out of TVC-Ohio play for Athens ... They need this 'W' to stay out of the 7-8-9 seeds at the Logan sectional ... I think a win over the Tigers would go a long way in how the coaches vote next Sunday.

(BTW - There was another topic on this already Power 105 - I will go ahead and lock the other one.)

The Bulldogs will have a tough time stopping Grosel and Lenington. Tigers by 10.

One other note, Athens v. Meigs scheduled for 2/17 has been moved to 2/16.
